I’m looking forward to Speaker Boehner replacing Pelosi. I don’t know how he’s going to deal with the Democrat obstructionism from the party of NO. I fear the liberal Democrats will try to prevent any positive movement for the country.
The corrupt Obama administration spent the last two years governing ‘against’ the will of the American people. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the other liberals will do and say anything to get what they want.
The country has 10% unemployment — is involved in 2 wars — the economy sucks — our borders are not secure — and what is the big debate in Washington? “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell”!
That’s what’s wrong with our government — Our Campaigner-In-Chief can’t get the priorities straight!

forgive me, I meant Kenya. How could I forget! But was preoccupied with the problems in Nigeria also. But it was Kenya where Obama campaigned for his cousin(sic) Odinga, whose supporters, having lost, initiated some nice violence and cleansing. And where his dad, Obama proper, was, apparently involved with the MauMau terrorists (and hence Barrys animosity towards Britain.) I apologize…Obama has nothing do to with the unrest in Nigeria…I think.

Nobody, really, complains about recess appointments….the important issue is WHO Obama/Barry/orWhoever appointed? What is the agenda of this character Obama(sic)? Using his vacation to Hawaii to appoint these folks? Once again we see his true agenda. We might not be able to see birth, school, passport, or other records but we can see from his appointments quite a lot….and looks what’s happening in Nigeria (Obama campaigned there for Odinga you recall.)

There is nothing inherently wrong with recess appointments. They are provided for in the constitution (although the reasons for the provision no longer exist) and have been used by every president.
What is wrong withe the Cole appointment is not that it is a recess appointment but that it is Cole. But although he will be spared a confirmation hearing, he will surely be summoned before one or more committees of the house, where he will give testimony under oath and the nation will discover how dangerously misguided and stupid he is.

What was it that is controversial about the president exercising his CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to appoint stalled appointees in the senate for no valid reason other than pure spite by the opposition at historic level?

Since recess appointments are made when congress is not in session shouldn’t the Chief Executive be in Washington to make them? Congress could be back in session before the President is back from vacation.
