		<description>An America Lost in Squanderville
The United States’ trade gap is the proverbial “leak-in the-dike” with its de-simulative effect on our recovery. In November 2003, Warren Buffett in his Fortune, Squanderville versus Thriftville article recommended that America adopt a balanced trade model. The fact that advice advocating balance and sustainability, from a sage the caliber of Warren Buffett, could be virtually ignored for over seven years is unfathomable. Media coverage that China has kept it currency undervalued is a gross understatement, it has actually been keeping the U.S. dollar over-valued; which adversely affects all our trade with all our trading partners, not just trade with China. Until action is taken on Buffett’s or a similar balanced trade model, by the powers that be, America will continue to squander time, treasure and talent in pursuit of an illusionary recovery.

<description>The time is now to get China off our backs. I say let&#039;s pay them off and start saying &quot;Change your economic policies or we will begin to put heavy tariffs on your goods or not allow them into our country anymore&quot;. This may start a economic war but its clear that the US has taken it on the chin for way too long. American workers can be as productive as any in the world. But at least we don&#039;t treat workers like slaves. Products may become more expensive but at least there will be more parity in the world.

<description>Absolutely Tom - no more hemmoraghing jobs to China and India. It&#039;s time to build a new manufacturing base here and to not allow China to dump products on our doorstep anymore. China&#039;s leaders are afraid to do anything against Chinese workers. Why? Because if the Chinese were to lose jobs, they would rise up against the govt and communism would fall or soldiers would start killing citizens - neither option there is one the leaders want to see. I think the world has given China time to grow and they have at 10%. Now is the time to begin to shut the spigot off or lessen the flow. Cheating on their part is hurting the world.

<description>It&#039;s funny to think that with the current situation in the American Economy, Geithner is pleading China to play by our rules.

<description>Currency manipulation, spying, protectionism, violation of WTO principles - we heard it before, we have seen it, and it&#039;s been going on for some time. Secretary Geithner, it&#039;s time you do something about it. We don&#039;t need to be constantly reminded about the challenges we face. Bring our manufacturing back, protect our intellectual property, introduce tariffs and focus on domestic growth. Do something! Enough rhetoric, Americans want action!
