He said we have to live within our means like American families. First of all, if he wanted families to live within their means he would be in favor of credit card reform. 2nd, often when families get into financial trouble someone in that family will find a way to increase income. We have to do both, and EVERYONE has to participate in fixing this...including the rich investors who caused it and the middle class who are becoming the poor because of it.

We are not that stupid. JOBS, JOBs and JOBs.

Infrachar: Obama's health care plan will not kill private insurance companies but will bring money their way. What it will do is prohibit them for selecting who they will cover and what they will charge and they will not be able to drop someone when they get sick. While not perfect this plan is better than the Ryan plan which does kill medicare as we know it. Try to pay your medical bills with 15,000 dollars. If you have cancer, one chemo treatment will absorb it all so where do you go from there? We can adjust the medicare bill with other means not kill it with a "voucher" which was the term P. Ryan used and now he is objecting to it. Today on Morning Joe he said it was a good plan so why are some republicans backing away from it and saying some adjustments can be made after voting for it? He also said his town halls were productive ...yeah I saw some of them...productive in that the people were making it known they do not like it. I hope this comments gets put in the user comments instead of the comment feed as I want you to see it.

I hate to disagree with you Texr55 but E. Cantor is our for E. Cantor. He will push through anything that helps big business and he met with large corporations recently and assured them of his support. He has no allegiance to middle America...most republicans do not. Not all of them, but most. The republican party of old did and would work with dems to achieve what was necessary for all the people. The new rep. party is quite different....they owe too many people like the Koch Brothers, Mr. Ayers, Murdock, Chamber of Commerce and big business a lot and they are now asking for pay back. In the past, the amount of money received by reps and dems were similar but now what is pouring into the rep. party thanks to the supreme court is overwhelming amounts but there is an attachment to this money. We want reforms overturned, we want more tax breaks, etc. They are tied to these people in ways the old rep.party were not. We are seeing today what is the result of this...arbitration overturned, reforms overturned, etc. It is kind of hard for them to make choices because they owe too many people. It is shame but these are the facts. I know ..I was a republican for 24 years and this rep. party is nothing like they old one. Too bad...they had some good ideas which were their own...not ones forced upon them as payback.

Now back to your comments yesterday about helping those in Joplin, Mo. You put a condition on it that the dems must give up on "energy efficient" plans before you would authorize any money for them. Who are you to do this? This angers me so much. These people are suffering and we have never before put conditions on any of the money for those in tornadoes, floods, etc. Once again..overreaching....you republicans do not rule the world yet. The president decides who gets the aide and he has already said they will get help ...with no strings...what kind of an American are you anyway.

I say again to you Mr.Cantor..spending cuts must come from both ends of the spectrum...the rich as well as the little guy but your plans only effect middle America with cutting many of their benefits and causing job loses. Every economist on every show that I have watched except Fox has said that the biggest cause of this deficit is the Bush tax cuts and as soon as we get rid of them we will be in a better place financially. They have said it with words, charts and printed articles. Yet, the republicans refuse to admit this or give in on this. When the public sees that big business is making some sacrifices they might feel better about what they have been asked to give up so think about that when you make one of your deficit speeches...no money means no money for anyone...rich and poor.

Eric Cantor is the most back stabbing individual I have ever known. It has been noticed that at the beginning of Boehner's speaker's job..Cantor was lobbying the tea party saying he thought Boehner was weak because he was not getting everything they and the tea party wanted. Also, his comments yesterday were unkind and inhumane. He literally said the country will help those in Missouri who suffered such severe losses only if the dems gave up something and wants to take away one of their plans. He is making it a party thing instead of a humane thing. He is a sneak and for him to put this kind on money on a what will you give us basis is inhumane and I know Pres. Obama will not allow this. He has already said that they will get all they need..who is he to come out and put a condition on this financial help? I will warn Mr. Ryan to watch his back because Cantor is only out for himself and his comments about Naenyheu is unpatriotic. President Obama said nothing more than what Bush said, Clinton said and in fact, Pres. Obama is trying to help this man and Isral by insisting they start now to negotiat now because the U.N. is considering a bill to make Palistine a state and that will change things totally around for Israel. That is why this president was pushing it ...not to make a statement. He does not need that stab in the back from Cantor or anyone else. He is trying to help Israel and is probably their only friend at this point because other nations are not in favor of Isreal's plans. I say to Naeyhue ...don't turn on your only friend.
