To Lont T…first you complain he is not working with the republicans (which is the other way around, I believe) and now that he is trying and reaching out…you are still complaining. There is no satisfying you as you only want him to fail as do most republicans. If he never achieved another thing during his administration..his administration has passed more useful things than any other president in a long time. Financial reform, credit card reform which you should like because your rates cannot be raised without your knowledge, equal pay for women, children’s health care program, education reform, health care, DADT, Star Treaty and many more, I cannot remember. Our deficit is up because of the upper 2% getting the tax credit which he did to get unemployment for those still out of work.. Our GDP is up, people are beginning to hire, banks have made more money but are not helping the economy, and stocks are not doing too badly. We could be in a depression at this point but we are not thanks to this President. Don’t be surprised if this president does something against the tax rebate for the upper 2% in the future as he really did not want this but for the sake of working together…you remember that don’t you..he did so. And, by the way, Americans who are now seeing the benefits of the health care bill are now liking it and only about 18% are now against it. This president also said he is willing to work on fixing things that need to be fixed in the health care bill as did Bush when he pushed through medicare. Remember, Bush gave out the first stimulus to the banks so it is not all on Obama. Bush also inherited a surplus and what did he achieve while president..two unpaid for wars and a medicare program also unpaid for. Much of what is in our deficit now. Unemployment will only change when hiring starts…and this president has given small business’ many options to do so and they are now also liking the health care bill as it gives them the opportunity to hire and give health care to their employees and not go broke. So..to me..he is not doing too badly.

…hey, let’s just listen to McCain and the failed GOP, and go back to cut taxes / cut govt that we tried for the 3 decades of the Reagan/Bush era. In fact, let’s get ANOTHER big tax cut to the wealthiest as we did in 1981 and 2001.
I mean, that worked SO well to deliver Trickle Down prosperity. Almost nobody is unemployed now. And the banks and oil drillers and health insurers, heck – they POLICED THEMSELVES!!! Get government out of the WAY by golly!

“You can fool some of the people, ALL of the time”… ;^)
