That’s like an kid who murders his parents and asks for leniency on account of the fact that he’s an orphan.
Sarah did not insert herself into the story. I’m sure she would have liked to have not been in the story.
Contrasting the Obama speech and Palin’s speech misses a key point. At the time, Palin stood accused of being a moral accomplice to the killings. Obama did not stand accused of such a thing. TRY to imagine what that must feel like before criticizing.

Yeah, like “If they bring a knife to the fight, we’ll bring a gun!” Oh, wait…that was then-candidate Obama. Er, how about “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [sic] and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him.” Oops, no…that was now-former Dem. Congressman Paul Kanjorski of Florida.
The list goes on-and-on. Maybe you should work on that memory of yours, or perhaps do a little reading.

Rob Reilly at 1:03:28 is absolutely correct. You are utterly hopeless for stating that Sarah Palin “once again, has found a way to become part of the story.”
She was thrust right into the center of the story by certain out of control public officials and members of the media!
Within moments after the shootings by a deranged murderer, who as we now know had had an ongoing dispute (in his own mind) with the Congresswoman going back to at least 2007, the completely irresponsible and partisan Sheriff Dupnick of Pima county, AZ, began beating the drums by pointing fingers of blame at completely unrelated political rhetoric in general, alleging that it somehow caused what had been done by an insane and cold-blooded murderer named Jared Loughner.
Instantaneously, members of the national media, including Paul Krugman of the New York Times, and others later on, such as Keith Olberman of MSNBC, As well as influential bloggers, like Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos, ALL pounced on Sarah Palin, each one attempting outdo the other in trying to to lay blame for this horrific incident at her feet. A string of focused accusations by crazed posters on Twitter and elsewhere were also posted on the internet, in addition to a substantial number of death threats being aimed at Mrs. Palin.
How could you possibly conclude that she inserted herself in the story?
What possible facts support that?
In fact, after the Sheriff finally admitted, under questioning by Megyn Kelly of Fox News that there was absolutely no factual basis whatsoever for his claim that there was a link to Palin’s political rhetoric, your correspondent, Diane Sawyer of ABC, then promptly re-interviewed the Sheriff, reading him a criticism of him made by Rush Limbaugh, thus prompting a new an accusation from Dupnick that Rush Limbaugh was responsible for the gun attacks!
You at ABC should be ashamed of yourselves for for your role in playing partisan games with these tragic events — including with the outlandish insinuations contained in this post.
Why don’t you all grow up!

The fire-breathing “left” sure has learned those lessons about civility and toning down the rhetoric. They accuse the “right” of having culpability in this terrible tragedy due their speech yet all I read from those representing the “left” is venomous hate. You HATE anyone that doesn’t think as you think. The evidence is here for all to see.
