Angie, sounds like you hate republicans, but the article was about earmarks, do you just use any opportunity to bash the opposition?
Anyway, earmarks are a good place to start cutting, next I want to see congressional pay and benefits, then government pay and benefits cut.

I agree with action but also agree with Mr. Alexander that a new open and honest system should be developed to acquire States needs. Tacking them onto unrelated bills leaves little room for honesty and accountability which Washinton dearly needs.

Problems with EARMARKS, Congress and Senators do NOT have to sign for them. They can just unanimously put in for it.
Republicans abuse and use that system ALL THE TIME.
That is why REPUBLICANS unanimously have voted HELL NO against the BILL that would force Senators and Congress to Sign for their own Earmarks
Hypocritical Republicans, so typical!

LongT – You didn’t read very well. The Senator says he will not accept any requests to put an earmark in a bill and therefore the bill has a chance to pass.

Sounds like a great way for a Senator to kill a bill he doesn’t like. Just put in an earmark.
