In the late morning the president will sign the New START Treaty, the new nuclear arms treaty that the Senate ratified in the lame duck session of Congress last year.
In the afternoon, the President will meet with Senator McCain (R-AZ) in the Oval Office. A McCain spokesman says although there is no specific agenda between the rivals in the 2008 presidential campaign the free trade, Egypt, earmark ban, immigration will all likely be discussed.
President Obama will also meet separately and privately with Senator Bingaman (D-NM) in the Oval Office where the two men are expected to discuss energy policy.
Later in the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with Secretary of State Clinton in the Oval Office.
