The Presidential Planner

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: President Obama will spend the day behind closed doors at the White House. After receiving his regular rounds of morning briefings, which will include an update on the situation in Egypt, Mr. Obama will convene a Cabinet meeting.

Later, the president and the vice president will meet for lunch in the private dining room, their weekly meeting.

In the afternoon, the president will meet with members of the Technology CEO Council in the Roosevelt Room "to discuss competitiveness, education, innovation, and the need for strategic investments to create jobs, grow the economy and win the future," the White House says.

Following the president's State of the Union message last week about the need for the country to "out-innovate," the White House has planned a series of events this week to push that message. On Thursday, the president will travel to State College, Pennsylvania to speak about innovation at an energy-efficient building site.

In the late afternoon, the president and the vice president will meet with Secretary of Defense Gates in the Oval Office.
