Considering some of the stuff Parker and Stone have done for South Park, I don’t think I’d classify the Book of Mormon show as “blasphemy.”

Southpark, and of course its creators, have taken the issue of “bad taste” to new levels.
While they attack any and everything, just to be offensive, and I really think it is simply because they enjoy being offensive, and couldn’t car less about laughs……because anyone laughing at this, has their own personal issues, it is kinda sad to see how much money they are making by being offensive.
That says the worst, about Americans….they will pay big bucks to enjoy offensiveness.

Whilst the Southpark crowd are, basically, equal-opportunity offenders it is important to point out that not only is it very easy to poke fun at Mormons, Christians, and Catholics but very common. However, you notice that not many Hollywood type will make fun of Mohammed and Islam- despite it being the “religion of peace”. I wonder why?

Rick,
You think their humor is the worst of Americans? Please… go visit Detroit or Camden, NJ and get a taste of what is really bad.
Yeah, the President and Secretary of Defense didn’t have to call Parker and Stone and beg them to call off this denigration of a holy book for national security purposes.
That’s something to think about.

I believe that it is called ‘FEAR’

How is poking fun of a non-Christian cult “blasphemy”?
