Just Warm Enough for Golf, Obama Back on the Course
ABC News' Tahman Bradley reports:
President Obama just could not wait for spring weather to arrive.
For the second week in a row, the most powerful man in the world stepped away from the White House to hit the golf course.
Even as his administration and the U.S. military help Japan recover from a devastating earthquake, and as the world worries about Fukushima's nuclear reactor, the president could not resist taking advantage of the 48-degree weather in the Washington, D.C., area.
The president left the White House Saturday afternoon for a short trip to Joint Andrews Base in Camp Springs, Md.
With cloudy skies, it's not the best weather for golf, but Obama loves to spend his Saturdays on the greens. Last fall, Obama went golfing darn near every weekend.
These are never quick "work on your swing" trips; usually the president plays 18 holes, as he did last week.

I am sick to my stomach. Why doesn’t the wimpy white house press corp ever ask a real question? No one challenged Obama on his claim of “meeting the republicans halfway on spending cuts”. Even the CBO said democrats only offered $4.7 billion in cuts, yet OBama claimed $50 billion.
Jake Tapper and his buddies are protecting Jay Carney at the expense of the truth.

What do you people expect? A large majority of Democrats still approve of his job performance. 90% of blacks still like him. At least 40% of independents have a favorable opinion of the guy. And we have a lazy, corrupt media that knows their fate is tied to his(they essentially put him in the White House), so they’ll never turn on him or even ask tough questions at press conferences or in interviews.
By that rationale, why wouldn’t he enjoy a nice round of golf on a sunny Saturday while Japan is literally melting down? Like it’s gonna hurt his poll numbers on Monday? Until the folks in this country who lean left wake the F up and demand some accountability from the people they elect(you know, instead of cheering them on when they leave Wisconsin for 3 1/2 weeks), then this is what you’re gonna get. Don’t champion mediocrity and then act surprised when the country is mired in it.

I just read another story on how a Police Dept. lowered it’s testing standards in order to get more blacks to pass. I am guessing that is why Obama’s approval is so high among the black community. It was said to be under his order that these standards be lowered. How proud the black community must be right now. To know that he understands you all just can’t do any better, and the bar must be set lower so you all can pass a test.

If Obama spent more time and effort listening to the message the American people sent him last November and actually tried to serve the people that he swore an oath to, we would see the spending stop, the Arizona border secured, the unemployment down by a significant number (1/2% is not significant), a health care bill rescinded, and America on a full swing production and manufacturing streak. But alas, what does one expect from a radical liberal with a chip on his shoulder?

This is what evil looks like. Obama, after egging on the militants in Wisconsin, with whom he, of course, identifies, now returns to his normal daily routine of partying and golfing.
He has no conscience or sense of propriety. His fake sympathy after the Arizona shooting was nauseating; the whole thing was a stage show for launching his 2012 campaign, complete with tea shirts and printed programs from the DNCs Rock the Vote effort. He will do anything for power and adoration, but nothing because it’s the right thing to do. He hasn’t a clue about that.
I hope the people of Japan take note of his selfishness. Too bad his equally selfish followers in this country are cut from the same revolting cloth.

JPMinNC -more than Dubya ever did for the victims of Katrina.
Being ex-navy I followed the USN’s response to Katrina. And you are dead wrong. The USS Iwo Jima, an amphib loaded with copters, sailed right into the back of the storm as it passed over NOLA. It was an amazing operation.
For more of what the USN did at NOLA -
- More than 9,790 Americas were rescued or evacuated by the 50+ Navy aircraft from deployed ships, as well as NAS Pensacola and Atlanta.
- 17 Navy ships on station including Iwo Jima, Bataan and USNS Comfort, which treated 1,000 patients.
More than 3,400 Seabees deployed to the region and helped clearing roads, disposing of debris and building shelters.
- Ship’s small boats performed 380 evacuations, 28 MEDEVACS and six rescues. They delivered 68,900 pound of food and 113,000 pounds of water. Onboard aircraft flew 1,730 sorties.
- The ships performed 380 evacuations, 28 MEDEVACS and six rescues. They delivered 68,900 pound of food and 113,000 pounds of water.
- The Navy took care of the more than 800 Navy families who lost everything.
Don’t let the facts hamper your hate.

I’d suggest you use opensecrets.org to see who the corporations are actually funding. Goldman Sachs, GE, AOL Time Warner, Microsoft, Ford, Walt Disney etc are all in the Dems column. And it’s getting worse each election cycle as companies figure out that big government means big profits.

Could someone explain why Obama has not unleashed his ‘shock’ and ‘anger’ at those who are placing threats of death on Republican leadershsip in Wisconsin?
Wasn’t it right after Gabrielle Giffords horrific shooting that the One condemned words, actions and/or deeds that “extremists” of a party use to inflame others, and, in effect, make them liable to take action such as the one used against Giffords? Didn’t Obama himself dip his toes into the union fight in Wisconsin and help to fan the flames of discord that have now gotten to the point of death threats? Where is Obama now? Where are his comments of comdemnation? Why hasn’t he spoken out about these threats? Is it because “his people” (unions) are directly involved? Is it because his own words and actions could have had a direct bearing on their thoughts? Is it because he’s too busy playing golf?
We should demand a response from this man… and soon.

skip – If you’re talking about campaign contributions the employees of these companies favor Democrats, the companies themselves do not.
Huh? The employees of these companies that contribute the most are the execs.
For example – Murphy, Philip D. & Tammy S. of Goldman Sachs gave a total of $1,267,600 92%to Dems and 7% to Repubs.
Murphy worked for Goldman Sachs for 23 years, including heading its office in Frankfurt, Germany, from 1993 to 1997.
He was ultimately reward by Obama by being made Ambassador to Germany.
These are not your run of the mill employees. The big shots have the money to contribute. And they contribute to Dems because it buys them favors like buy out money.
Not saying the repubs don’t have this problem, but I find it ludicrous that people are always hitting the repubs are the mean corporate types.

Here’s another GOP presidential hopeful who can’t open her mouth without inserting her foot. PolitiFact has given her 6 ‘Pants on Fire’ falsehood ratings in under 20 statements they’ve covered. Now just who put those people in the Superdome. It was the Mayor. The feds had no jurisdiction. The governor should have activated the LA emergency management center. But she didn’t. The state has jurisdiction during the first 24 hours of a crisis like this. The same is true in ALL states. Just these two democratic bumpkins failed to act. They are the guilty parties.

The state is still responsible. They put these people there. I know where I live (MA) where we have competent local emergency management the state runs things. LA had no emergency management. That is not the fault of the feds. That is the fault of the state.

(See my earlier post asking for some information about this).
I would think that a “middle-of-the-road president” such as Obama could at least have the decency and dignity to speak out about ANY type of threat and or harm no matter what party it affects. I would think wrongly, no?

Obama is “right” in one regard – he has no meaningful knowledge, skills or interests of use in resolving the world’s problems. In fact, the less he does, the better the impact. Not to say that a competent caring leader couldn’t make a world of difference, BUT we are talking Obama here – an arrogant self-serving twit with a desire to “transform” (aka destroy) the USA. Better he fritter away his time on the links and money on lavish parties and vacations, than engage in actual “work” that would more likely than not, be to our detriment. 2012 cannot come soon enough!

Honest John, I agree that sometimes the less this president does, the better. However, the American president is a symbolic figure– the prime minister and the monarchy rolled into one, in a way. The symbolism of him enjoying a day on the links today was not good. America’s president must not only say the right words (not that I think saying our connection to japan was ‘unshakable’ at this juncture was very bright) but also do the right things, both substantively and symbolically.

The lastest media spin is that Obama is “above the fray.”
above the fray- 3 dictionary results [ar-uh-guhnt]
–adjective
1. making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud: an arrogant public official.
[ley-zee]
adjective, -zi·er, -zi·est, verb, -zied, -zy·ing.
–adjective
1. averse or disinclined to work, activity, or exertion; indolent.
2. causing idleness or indolence: a hot, lazy afternoon.

It is hard for average Americans to sympathize with Obama when he and his comrades maintain on the one hand that they are faced with the most desperate times this country has faced and on the other are seen playing golf, partying with celebrities at the White House, or constantly on fancy vacations. The image is one of a lack of concern; he honestly believes that all he needs to do is offer words of comfort, the media will dutifully report them and cover his actions with all manner of justification, and all will be well. The problem is that most Americans can only take one vacation – if that. Most Americans can’t afford to play golf once a week. Most Americans don’t party with celebrities. Most Americans make due with what they have, which is lessening by the minute. This President – and I use that term loosely – is incapable of understanding this, and the reason for this is simple: he cares little for the actual work. As long as the media continues their indulgence of this man child, he will do as he pleases. Americans should be raging with anger at the media – they have abandoned all semblance of impartiality, trashed their constitutionally protected freedom of the press and are full time shills for a bumbling fool. Time for another change…

Conservatism is how people trick the gullible into becoming poor. Their strategy is to obstruct anything meaningful, prevent the government from functioning properly in anyway then blame government for not working. In the process, they help the top 1% control 90% of the wealth. There are 30 years of evidence supporting this behavior since the clown Reagan. The middle class is almost gone. The United States is now a country of haves and have-nots. It is becoming a third world country. I am still waiting for Reagan’s trickle down economics to kick in

Definition Of Obama: Imagine, as an abuse survivor of someone with malignant narcissism or narcissistic personality disorder, giving your life over to a psychopath, and doing it with trust and a firm belief in his authority. What if said psychopathic conman, was advising victims? It seems absurd, that an abuser would advise the abused. It seems even more absurd, that the abused would take the advice to heart. Yet it happened to me, till I got wise to it and learned more about this disorder, and its largely superficial resemblance to narcissistic personality disorder, or garden variety “narcissism”.
Psychopaths are known to be grandiose, to distort reality, to be contemptuous of human beings, and to be completely without conscience . To ask such a malignant narcissist for advice is to suffer life consequences. Are his words really full of “truth” and “insight” and “care” for the victims?
Recently, I came across the following exchange in part 40 of the psychopath’s “narcissism list”:

This administration is turning into a nightmare. Obama, WHO REPRESENTS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, amuses himself endlessly for all the world to see while our close allies, the Japanese, are in utter anguish, Libyans are being slaughtered and begging for help, and an Israeli family was brutally killed in their home leading to heightened turmoil. Obama continues to vote “present” as he did in the Illinois legislature and the media runs interference for him. Befitting a Community Organizer, his only actions are designed to agitate the citizens of this country pitting one group against another, making every effort to break the back of the U.S. Constitution so its words are meaningless and powerless to protect us anymore, all so he can “fundamentally transform” America. He bows to foreign leaders who are stiff-spined in representing their countries. All the while, he stands back and enjoys all the perks of office, and simply creates turmoil in an attempt to destroy our form of government. Can our Republic long withstand this type of “leader”? And yet, the media says nothing. Don’t they have children? . . . Are they so poorly educated or enamored of being with the “in crowd” that it is worth losing the freest, most exceptional country and system of government known to man?

Somehow I doubt that anyone begrudges him times of relaxation, but it would be nice if he seemed to be working in between those times. In every crisis during his administration so far, it looks as if he is watches from a distance and then goes on a vacation/plays golf/attends or hosts a party. The result is that our country, to all appearances (see how kind I am trying to be???), does not have a leader but a relaxer-in-chief. Instead of a confident, reassuring leadership figure, we get clips of him teeing off or bowing to a world leader, and we’re left wondering if he has any leadership abilities at all. It is indeed, a very sad chapter in our country’s history.

I heard Michelle had Barry apply for a Police man job at Dayton Police Force, fearing a one term. She knew he was not capable of a Gardening Job. But he failed the Police exam. That is why his butt buddy Erica Holder (DOJ) is pressuring Dayton to lower their standards. Or, maybe he is trying to lower his handicap so he can go on Tour.

Come on you Obama bashers. You are so wrong.
Obama knows how to do a lot of things.
He knows how to operate the auto industry, the banks, Wall Street, small and large businesses, keep the oceans from rising, the health care system and how to create shovel ready jobs. He even knows how big the portions should be on plates when we eat out.
He learned how to all these things while dipping ice cream at Baskin-Robbins and as a community organizer.
We are blessed to have him as leader. And thanks to the Democrats and the main stream media for helping us to elect him as President.

61 rounds of golf since becoming President. Let’s be conservative and say 3 hrs/round. That’s 183 hours playing golf. Divide 183 by 40 hr/wk and that means this President has already spent 4.575 weeks playing golf. Over a month on the golf course.
The first prerequisite for the next President…..not a golfer.

Over 100 years later, Obama says:”I bet I can reach the 4th green by lunch.” This as our allies suffer earthquake and tsunamis.
One cannot be President, enjoying multiple vacations, rounds of golf, while the world explodes around you. While turmoil in the Middle East, natural disasters and gargantuan budget deficits plague the public.

Oh right. I made an earlier post about Obama getting to work, LOOK like he’s trying to do something.
Maybe it is BEST that he stay on the golf course. THE less he does, the better.
Maybe during his re-election campaign he can explain why:
1. HIS budget deficits are so much larger than Bush’s.
2. Explain why he is for terrorist rights, and Islamic groups being able to CRY before Rep. King’s committee, but if a Tea Party patriot tries to have a protest, they are “racist, bigots, who don’t understand government”?
GOD FORBID we have another terror attack that is nuclear in nature. He could then explain why AVERAGE Americans had to subject themselves HERR GOERING/Napalatono’s Gestapo, but didn’t focus on ISLAMIC terrorist who are AMERICANS. But hey, lets not profile.

Lesson in MEDIA MANIPULATION 101:
Katrina vs. Haiti:
Bush fights LA governor to get relief aid and national guard sent in. Finally gets help to people in need and media slams him for it focusing on the Superdome debacle for the next five years.
Obama sends Clinton to Haiti for a short time, media elites help pull a few people from collapsed buildings, then everyone wraps it up and calls it a day. After a month or two nothing, even though people are still suffering there.
Indonesia vs. Japan
Bush mobilizes the military to help Indonesia after the tsunami, US troops and aid visibly there within days. Media goes out of there way to find some angle to spin it as another Bush debacle.
Japan is devastated, worse disaster since WW2 and nuclear meltdowns happening. US has bases there but still no visible response. Meanwhile Obama has basketball parties, media elites and Obama have high priced posh parties that are closed off to all the little people, and he hits the golf course for another round. Media elites have nothing to say, because they are living it up too. All you little people can go eat your cake, they own you and they know it. har har

Everyone deserves some down time – to exercise, to reflect, to listen to the voice inside, to have fun. Obama deserves this too, yet it would be nice if we could observe him working and leading as well. How can someone of supposed high intelligence stand by and “do” nothing or inconsequential things. How can he allow the justice department run by Eric Holder to require the lowering of scores in Dayton Ohio because blacks are failing. Why doesn’t he lead? He has done more toward discrediting blacks than anyone I can remember in my sixty years of watching the political landscape. We ought to be listening to the Thomas Sowell’s of the world, those black men who have substance as well as intelligence The liberal elite media who got him elected seem to carry guilt for being white, and any black man in the presidency is good enough to ease their guilt. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but we need a leader.

When I was young I used to be a very avid golfer (played or practiced 150 days+ per year). However, I now own a small business. Given that an 18 hole round of golf requires 4-5 hours (not to mention the time getting to and from the course), I find it extremely difficult now to play more than 10 – 15 rounds per year. It’s just hard to justify devoting 5-6 hours per round when there are so many other important competing business time demands. My job/business is fairly inconsequential in the scheme of things. I can’t fathom how someone leading the largest economy in the world could possibly find time to play even a couple of rounds of golf particularly when the country is in crisis. I’d call it dereliction of duty. He needs to go. NOW!!!

How was the economy, our national debt, our annual deficit, the poverty rate, and the unemployment rate when Pelosi and Reid started running the Legislative Branch back in January 2007 compared to now? Wasn’t Obama a Senator back then?
Posted by: Chuck | March 13, 2011, 1:53 pm 1:53 pm
His entire life is full of abundant evidence that he craves positions of prestige, but has neithe the desire nor the ability to do anything once he is there. He lobbied for the position of president of the Law Review, then did absolutely nothig once he got it–he published not a single word. He “worked” briefly at a third-tier law firm, where he did nothing at all, never appearing in court. He published not a single word while on the faculty at Chicago. He voted “present” repeatedly in the Illinois legislature, and in his brief career in the US Senate he recorded not a single legislative accomplishment.
Now, as president, he involved himself not at all in his two signal “achievements”–the failed stimulus and the hugely unpopular Obamacare, which he farmed out entirely to Pelosi and Reid.
From Iran to Egypt to Libya, he has shown the world that he is terrified of actually taking a stand and making a decision–he seems paralyzed.
We are paying a very steep price for having elected this man.

Ace of Spades sums it up pretty well:
“In the cases of uprisings in Iran and Libya, rather than show American leadership, he once again voted present and said little and did even less. He left a leadership void in world leadership now being filled, thankfully, by the British and the French.
“All of these cases illustrate that Obama really isn’t bringing anything to the table. He is not contributing to the most important questions facing the country – he does not offer ideas, or support for particular plans. He lets other people do the deciding, and then he embraces whatever consensus others have created.
A Republican candidate for President should ask: For $400,000 per year in salary, what are we actually getting? Is he actually doing his job? Couldn’t anyone do what Obama has done? Put anyone in the office, someone unqualified and well over their heads, and they’d do the same thing, sit back, let other people handle it.

What should frighten most, however, is the ‘shadow government’ that is carrying out his disastrous plans: participating in the Middle East unrest, plotting to see gas prices at the same level as Europe, contributing to terrorist groups in Israel just to get a Palestinian state in place, etc., etc.
Why do Americans expect something from the person that he has no intentions of delivering? He doesn’t plan to ‘lead’ — no, he plans to dictate.

There is *always* a crisis going on somewhere the world 24/7 but very few of these require the direct personal oversight of the President, and in this case, the U.S. response to the Japan’s catastrophe was timely and on its way, so there was very little for Obama to do except keep updated on any changes. Compare this to Bush’s behavior during Katrina — his people didn’t even know about the Superdome/Convention Center mess until days later.

Flat out lie. Maybe you missed the thousands of people rescued by the Coast Guard and National Guard, dropping them off at the Superdome where command centers were set up IN ADVANCE of the storm. There was a working chain-of-command in place… unlike DEMOCRAT’s Nagin and Blanco who absolutely FAILED in executing their emergency plans which would have moved MOST of these people to further inland. INSTEAD thousands were left behind that rescuers then had to deal with once the storm had passed. Many were in the SUPERDOME where they were at least SAFE rather than being left to fend for themselves in the flooded and damaged city. These rescue authorities FOCUSED on continuing to save those stranded rather than ordering Happy Meals for the DEMOCRAT dependents stuck in the SUPERDOME for a couple of days.

callmedelusional …Please explain that to the 17 naval personnel who were exposed to radiation…Obama sending in relief help with NO thought to possible radioactive disaster…50,000 military personnel and their families (kids) remain in the area with NO thought of evac…And he is on the golf course trying to lower his handicap…..Ya, you betcha, he’s a real treasure alrighty…..

skip…Easy…Open deep-water drilling, build-up pipeline infrastructure getting oil to point A to point B without delays that only add to the cost of fuel, build more refineries..Perhaps if we had done that a few years ago, when environmentalist said that it would take 5 years to do us any good, we would have been better prepared for what is surely to come…..TODAY….

@Scooter Van Neuter Nope, sorry, that wasn’t a lie and easily verifiable with Google.
For Chertoff’s ignorance, Google: Chertoff NPR Convention Center
For Brown’s ignorance, Google: Michael Brown CNN Zahn

So does your lies about Katrina response. Google “Katrina: What the media missed”. Helps if you read something besides NPR and CNN.

@Parallex View Google can be your friend as well: “According to Cmdr. Jeff A. Davis, a spokesman for the American Seventh Fleet in Japan, the personnel had gone through a decontamination scrub, after which no further contamination was detected.
“‘They received very, very low levels of contamination,’ Commander Davis said in a telephone interview with The New York Times from Japan early Monday.
“‘It certainly is not cause for alarm,’ he said. ‘It is something we have to watch very carefully and make sure we are able to monitor, and to mitigate against this environmental hazard.’
“The contaminated military personnel, who had been aboard three helicopters flying through a radioactive plume from a damaged nuclear power plant, had received the amount of radiation equal to one month’s natural background radiation from the sun, rocks or soil.”

@gk Sorry dude, but I did my extensive research into Katrina a long time ago, and I used original sources. In the case of CNN or NPR, both Brown and Chertoff admitted their cluelessness live on those outlets and the video and transcripts from them function as primary sources. As for your reference to Lou Dolinar’s article, it’s just poorly researched right wing rubbish (which is actually a redundant statement.) The was an initial burst of activity by the Coast Guard and the like, but when it became obvious that a some helicopter rooftop rescues wasn’t exactly address the bulk of the problems NOLA was facing, the plan that was supposedly in place meant a much broader federal response. But that’s where things fell apart. The media did indeed miss a lot, but it was their usual random lack of research and detail — like for instance all those infamous submerged school buses would have been totally inadequate for evacuating the types of people who mostly were not able to leave on their own: poor families and the elderly. NOLA is in the middle of nowhere so the evacuation routes were running 20+ hours long in some cases, and those buses had no toilet facilities. These are the details that the media really botched up, and not how Bush and his people were grossly incompetent, which actually was true.

“Bush and his people” had to deal with the incompetent execution of the “official” execution plan by Nagin and Blanco. Every city and county on the Gulf Coast has some type of plan. Properly executed, other officials know in advance what they will be dealing with and can prepare properly. Nagin and Blanco FAILED the people of New Orleans when they chose NOT to evacuate until it was too late. THEN on top of that you have generations of citizens who were TOTALLY dependent on DEMOCRAT politicians for their very existence. They probably were waiting for someone to come pick them up at their front door to evacuate them to safety.
.
Compare and contrast Mississippi (which took the full brunt of Katrina) and New Orleans.
.
Nagin and Blanco dumped a massive problem in Bush’s lap and the ever willing worthless news media took it and ran. People to this day still believe that propaganda.

Must say callmebc…you have to be the very first left leaner I have read that gives our military the benefit of the doubt…I am concerned that the government of Japan is being less than honest regarding the magnitude of the problem Don’t think our people are being fed honest info…100,000 evac…passing out PhosIodine…calling in NRC for help and Obama appearing to ignore all the signs…” I am not spending time on the golf course, I am investing time in the golf course.” WOW…

Jeez. The guy takes an Saturday afternoon off and you all think he is a lazy good for nothing. He has staff, he clearly directed them on a course, they know what to do. How much better would the Japanese be if he was in the White House?
Japan is a well governed, economically prosperous foreign nation and not the 51st state. They can take care most of what needs to be done.

{spotted this on the net! Jeff}
OBAMA FULFILLING THE BIBLE
Can you guess which Bible verses Barack Hussein Obama likes to avoid?
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): “It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury – how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!”
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under “a servant who becomes king.”
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: “let thy words be few…a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.”
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he’s destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
For some stunning info on Pres. Obama and his fellow subversives, Google “Michelle Obama’s Allah-day,” “Obama Supports Public Depravity,” “David Letterman’s Hate Etc.,” “Un-Americans Fight Franklin Graham” and also “Sandra Bernhard, Larry David, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher, Joan Rivers, Sarah Silverman.” Also Google “Prof. F. N. Lee’s ISLAM IN THE BIBLE [PDF].”
PS – Since Christians are commanded to ask God to send severe judgment on persons who commit and support the worst forms of evil (see I Cor. 5 and note “taken away”), Christians everywhere should constantly pray that the Lord will soon “take away” or at least overthrow all US leaders who continue to sear their conscience and arrogantly trample the God-given rights of the majority including the rights of the unborn. Do we need a second American Revolution?
PPS – For a rare look at the 181-year-old endtime belief which has long neutralized millions of American patriots by promising them an “imminent rapture” off earth – which has diverted them away from being prepared to stand against all enemies, domestic as well as foreign – Google “Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty,” “Pretrib Rapture Diehards,” “Edward Irving is Unnerving,” “Pretrib Rapture Secrecy,” and “Pretrib Rapture – Hidden Facts” – all by the author of the bestselling nonfiction book “The Rapture Plot” (the most accurate documentation on the pretrib rapture’s long hidden birth in Britain in 1830 – see Armageddon Books). Also Google “Stamping Out Harold Camping.”

Ridiculous to quote the Bible as support for the very racist attitudes it condemns.

What was Obama supposed to be doing instead of playing golf? Spraying seawater on the nuclear reactors himself? Going out on lifeboats to fish bodies out of the water? How many other Americans played golf, went to a theater or did something recreational during the past few days? Doesn’t mean we’re not concerned about tragedies in the world. And the one who has the most pressured job of all probably needed that golf game more than anyone else. He is never off duty, nobody can take over his shift, and he is on call always no matter where he is.

I should have my @ss kicked for actually voting for this man. Here we are in the midst of a worldwide disaster unmeasured by any previous catastrophe and our President goes out to play 18 holes of golf. This man is supposed to represent our nation for goodness sake!! What he does demonstrate, yet again, is that he has zero capacity for real leadership, humility or compassion. This latest show of Oarrogance is much more than just embarrassing, it is purely disgraceful. I can’t wait to get this president onto the golf course – permanently.
-Wouldn’t make the same mistake in 2012.

Obama off the hook for hitting the links?
Are US troops all out of harm’s way? Does he know the names of the last KIAs or has he spoken to their families? Does he not feel this Saturday’s geophysical disaster in Japan reaching the US west coast less of an issue that BP/Gulf of Mexico spill?
Is women’s history month really so important that the POTUS cannot address the issues concerning to Americans as developing outcomes of the earthquake and tsunami.
Yeah, rag on Bush. It’s like a tic that gives a hint at an underlying neurological disease. It is now Tuesday following the Saturday events in Japan. By this time following Gifford’s shooting we had been nationally lectured on manners in public discourse, blaming strident political talk for motivation of the clearly mentally ill Loughner.
All we get from this one is toothy grins between tele-prompted platitudes when the script says “(pause for loving applause)”.

Playing 18 holes of golf once a week to balance the most stressful job in the country??? I admire his ability to keep himself in balance. When was the last time all you critics gave up your weekend after a stressful week at work?
Posted by: Steven | March 15, 2011, 1:11 pm 1:11 pm
I honestly am glad to see he is getting out and getting fresh air…He deserves a few hours of fresh air at least once a week. He at least didn’t do what Bush did. Come on people…stop criticizing every single thing this man does
Posted by: Lisa | March 15, 2011, 2:31 pm 2:31 pm
I normally wouldn’t care if he was playing golf during the weekend. But, the fact that it was the weekend of the Japan earthquake and tsunami, with the nation facing a possible nuclear melt-down, it seemed bizarre and ridiculous that the leader of the free-world was relaxing on the greens as the world was literally falling apart at the seams!
Posted by: liberty333 | March 15, 2011, 7:45 pm 7:45 pm
Whether he should or should not play so much gold or basketball is missing the point. He is the leader and his APPEARANCE and ACTIONS mean something. Playing golf or any type of OPENLY SEEN leisure is completely inappropriate for the U.S. President with the situation in Japan unfolding the way it is. (And you people who are defending him… ask yourself HONESTLY, if it were George W what you be saying about this?)

what non golfers fail to understand is that playing golf reboots the mind to handle stress as the most powerful man in the world I think he should play daily rational calm decisions as golf teaches as well as visuslization skills are a bonus and will help with his day job
