Obama to Members of Congress: Action Versus Libya to Last ‘Days not Weeks’
EmailIn his meeting with Members of Congress today, sources tell ABC News, President Obama said he expected that the period that the US would be involved in heavy kinetic activity would be "days, not weeks," after which he said the US would then take more of a supporting role.
The president met with a number of Members of Congress today to talk about Libya. Joining him at the White House or by conference call were Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., Sen. Dick Lugar, R-Ind., Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and others.

Congratulations Mr. President. For those who said is weak you should know that war is last option to do. If it was a republican president we will be at this time in 4 wars not 2 but Obama will end both wars god bless you Obama.

Aren’t drones Obama’s weapon of choice?
I thought Obama said the US cannot dictate how countries should operate, much less send drones into foreign countries to assassinate heads of state.
Nah, this isn’t the same Obama I once knew.

Nothing of Obama’s stuff actually works. He only has experience as a community organizer – what do you expect? Almost half of the voters knew that in “08,” another 25 percent got a rude awakening and have figured it out!

Pres Barry may not need a declaration of war to support a UN operation but it certainly makes sense for the White House to request a congressional resolution on the matter. That would at least require a conversation with the Congress.
Pres Barry, should explain how he’ll get rid of Khadafy, protect the innocents, prevent Libya from falling to the Islamists and not break an over-stretched military with more missions.
It would be a conversation well worth listening to. Libya may not have any wmd’s like Korea but Libya does have oil like that wrong war in Iraq.

just what he thought of OBAMA. He
continued his attacks. Also OBAMA
told us there was no chance of radiation
coming over from Japan this week i am
sure he will be forced to aet those words also. Oil prices are going to climb as
well as food prices and more jobs will be
lost because of this no wonder he left the country.
