“green goddess’…you are exactly “right” on the “Family”. Which highranking GOP official took Mr. Ensign “under his wing” and “counseled” him? I think it was Tom Coburn. LOL…This “cult” is “thick as thieves” and most voters have no clue how this “mind set” affects our country (especially the middle class) so adversely. But to me the “last laugh” is on Ensign. Even the “evangelicals” must have thought of him as “ir-reddemable”. LOL…LOL How sad they all are. What a bunch of total hypocrites.

I cannot believe he is still here. It is funny that the republicans have high morals when it comes to democrats and make them leave immediately, i.e. Spitzer of New York, yet this jerk remains until the end of his term and collects money and keep his health insurance. We can save some money here by cutting him off NOW. Look at Mr. Sanford..he is still in office..no demands for his resignation. Their double standards and holier than thou attutude is so phoney it makes me ill.

This is only coming about two years past its due date. Senator Ensign should have resigned from the Senate when his affair, and his parents payoff, first came to light. He has been a true embarrassment to the decorum of the United States Senate, and that takes a lot to reduce that body’s prestige.
