Democrats receive just as much if not more from corporations, the story line they tell you that they are for the little people is a farce. The now Pres.Obama got a lot of FREE political primetime from NBC and MSNBC which at that time was under the control of Immelt. GE got billions in taxpayer bailout funds (which they never have repayed)and still receives subsidies for its operations and that it curtesy of Pres.Obama and his democratic minions. It has been know around the world, America has the best politicians money can buy.

Immelt paid no PERSONAL income taxes–this is not referring to GE or corporate taxes…
He obviously has enough money to pay advisors to find the best tax-free investments…but it’s those “tax-free” investments that are created by legislators to whose campaigns he contributes and bureaucrats who give his company business…
The income tax has become advantageous for low income citizens and those with enough money to avoid taxes through legal loopholes. Why don’t we just switch to a consumption tax, like a national sales tax, and do away with the income tax? But that also means that we can’t give exemptions to everything and every person…
Fairness is elusive–it’s different for each individual, but we can really do better than the current tax structure…

The FAIRTAX is the solution.
BTW, Corporations do not pay taxes… only individuals. If you do not understand this then you do not understand the concept of a corporation, and therefor do not deserve to comment.

It’s amusing to see what it takes for Mr. Tapper and others to notice that corporations often take advantage of the tax code (as, after all, they should, to be serving their shareholders), to the detriment of civil society. Not a news story–unless one of these people deigns to take on the thankless duty of offering public service for almost no renumeration, rather than private and highly reunumerated service for shareholders.
Now, I wonder if this topic is going to be remembered the next time we hear a discussion about the excessive corporate taxation rate, or the benefits to be obtained by eliminating tax credits.

i think its disgraceful for all those in power to tell us to pay our taxes when they continually refuse to pay their taxes is this the anerican way now. we need people in powwer to be totally honest or get out from the president on down all thenews orgunazations that were formed and not needed are disgraceful and very costly to the american who have to pay for them
its time to start over with a new
face in washington who will do what is right

LOL!…….SecondLook, give it up. You really don’t expect a Republican to understand any of this, do you?…LOL!
They’ve been “brain-washed” by the GOP, to believe that “lower taxes for corporations create jobs in America”…… LOL!…. Well, you sure can’t get any lower than “Z-E-R-O” taxes now can you?…LOL…and the jobs are all STILL OVERSEAS….LOL!
ALL OF THIS WAS DONE LEGALLY, through “loopholes” in the tax codes, but again SecondLook, to expect today’s Republicans to understand this is like expecting a first grader to understand college level calculus.
The sad part is, some wealthy corporate executives are honest enough to know there is a problem in our tax system, i.e., guys like Warren Buffet, who admitted last November that he pays less taxes than his secretary. But according to most of the right-wing nuts, “Buffet is just a damn liberal”.
Give it up SecondLook, you’re not going to be able to educate the uneducated.
