ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: 

President Obama will start his day by receiving his regular rounds of morning briefings.

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet for lunch in the Private Dining Room.

Afterward the President will award the 2010 National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal in a ceremony in the East Room.

Among the 20 honorees are actress Meryl Streep, author Harper Lee, James Taylor, and others.

In the late afternoon the president will meet with Secretary of State Clinton in the Oval Office privately with Vice President Biden.
