ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:

Late this morning President Obama will deliver a speech at Georgetown University where he will “outline his plan for America’s energy security," where he will set the goal for the nation reduce the amount of oil imported from the rest of the world by one-third over the next decade.

Senior administration officials, briefing reporters in advance of the speech said the president will lay out “serious” proposals to solve the long-term problem of the nation's energy consumption, focused on four areas: domestic production, incentives for natural gas, biofuels, and efficiency.

After his speech the president will return to the White House for a series of closed-door meetings, including lunch in the Private Dining Room with Vice President Biden.
