After receiving his regular rounds of morning briefings in the Oval office this morning, President Obama will sit down for a private meeting with Prime Minister Julia Gillard of Australia to the White House.
“The President and Prime Minister Gillard will discuss the strong ties between the United States and Australia, our shared political and economic interests in the Asia-Pacific region, and our work together around the world, including in Afghanistan and as members of APEC and the G20,” the White House said in a statement announcing the visit.
The President will hold a bilateral meeting as well as an expanded bilateral meeting with each of the delegations with Prime Minister Gillard. The two leaders will speak to press briefly in the Oval Office afterwards.
Mr. Obama will remain at the White House in closed-door meetings for the remainder of the day.

It seems that Pres Barry has already made the pivot to the 2012 election. After the midterm shellacking, he has repositioned himself, and will be a do nothing President that isn’t serious about dealing with government spending and the enormous and outrageous deficit.
Where’s the president? Where is the leadership on the budget?
