Obama never promised unemployment would not go above any particular figure. It’s right-wing inspired mythology. Anybody who still really doubts it can check PolitiFact….they did a pretty thorough analysis of it.

Obama fired Romer because Romer’s predictions were wildly off the mark. Woudl congress have passed ARRA knowing that Romer’s worst unemployment projections without ARRA would eventually unfold?
Politifact didn’t fire Romer, Obama did.

You can’t complain about the expense of cleaning up a mess your party created.

For how many years did the Democrats have control of the House? Was it at least 4 years?
For how many years did the Democrats have control of the Senate? Was it more than 2 years?
The Democrats had all the legislative tools at their disposal to balance the budget. Did they do so? Did Obama chose to propose a balanced budget this year?
After $1 trillion in spending, we now learn that the Federal Reserve is lowering GDP growth estimates for the year. Is that the result Obama expected last year?
If Republican policies so predictably lead to doom, why did Barney Frank say there was no chance that Fannie and Freddie would fail? Was that evidence of Democrat’s superior policies?
Obama does not have a plan for the future that balances the budget. This is an abdication of responsibility, according to his own budget commission.
But, Lydia chooses to ignore the present, and to contort the past to protect Obama from reality.
