President Obama will start his day with his regular morning briefings in the Oval Office. Afterward Mr. Obama will meet privately with Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson, co-chairs of the Fiscal Commission, one day after he delivered his “vision” for deficit reform.
In the afternoon, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Amir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani of Qatar in the Oval Office and then speak to press afterward.
“Qatar is an important partner of the United States, and the President looks forward to discussing a range of issues with the Amir, including the recent developments in the Middle East and Qatar's leadership in the international effort to protect Libyan civilians,” the White House said in a statement.
Afterward the president will travel to Chicago, Illinois where he will attend two fundraisers for the DNC at N9NE Restaurant and MK Restaurant in the city. Afterward the president speak at a DNC event at the Navy Pier.
The President will spend the night in Chicago, Illinois.
