LONDON — "It is a great privilege to commemorate our common heritage and common sacrifice,” President Obama wrote in the guest book at Westminster Abbey, where he today placed a wreath at the grave of the unknown warrior. The president also wrote the date to commemorate his trip: 24 May 2008. 2008? Whoops. A White House official suggested the president’s jet-lag may be the reason why he got the date so wrong. Other theories: yesterday’s rally in Dublin had a campaign feel – maybe he’d been returned to more joyous days of yesteryear? Or maybe this is what was meant by “leading from behind”? -Jake Tapper
