It’s good to know that the space race was as hard of a decision back then as it is today.
I’m sure if the US had the same economic issues back then in the 60′s as we do today, I’m sure Kennedy wouldn’t have had the political clout to pull it off.
I am still waiting for the “peace dividend” from the Cold War that was going to help pay for science programs that have recently been cut. Still spending 1/3 of trillion dollars on a new stealth fighter for an enemy that doesn’t exist doesn’t make much sense.

And in walks Obama pulling the plug on one of the most beneficial programs known to mankind. Look at the technology that has been developed thanks to the space program.
Instead we now have wads of cash to hand out all over the world, to every waring faction yet we now have to hitch rides with the Russians into outer space.

Right, on the very same day that Neil Armstrong stated that “Obama is destroying the Space Program” on cue ABC News (who carries the water for Obama) has an article on JFK being negative about the Space Program. Thing is we know the truth; Obama is a Socialist who wants to use NASA to prop up the Muslim World..how stupid is this. We must replace Obama in 2012 and correct this mistake in American history.
