Where’s Sarah Palin?: Campaign-like Bus Tour Missing in Action

ABC News' Sara Just reports:

Normally when the national media wants to cover a candidate for the presidency, or  even a possible candidate, the campaigns are only too happy to oblige.

But Sarah Palin is anything but a normal candidate. If she’s a candidate at all.

Late last week Palin announced she would be joining the Memorial Day “Rolling Thunder” parade in DC, launching a promotional “One Nation” bus tour and driving from Washington D.C. through the north east coast  to New Hampshire, that critical state in the primary campaign.

While the “One Nation” tour Is not specifically being called a presidential campaign effort, it sure looks like one. Palin released a “One Nation” video on Friday that was more slick than most campaign ads.

But many in the media – which Palin often calls the “lame stream media” – couldn’t even find the One Nation bus Sunday morning.

ZWYmb2Y9MA== Where’s Sarah Palin?: Campaign like Bus Tour Missing in Action

Palin aides this weekend indicated that the tour schedule would be posted on Palin's political action committee website, SarahPAC.com, but as of Sunday morning there were no updates.

Sarah Palin and Rolling Thunders are match made in hell.
These 2 trigger-happy warmongers are bringing chaos and shame to the American people. While these Rolling Thunders murderers like to butcher innocent babies and women during Vietnam War, Sarah Palin is the champion of those Israeli occupiers who like to butcher peace-loving Palestinian people.
Good riddance to thse 2 clowns !

Americans should be ashamed of the fact that an ignorant fool like Karah Lolin can run for President of United States.

Posted by: Alexi | May 29, 2011, 9:37 am 9:37 am

So stop looking for her. It would be best for the country if she would just go away. It’s hard to believe anyone would vote for a person who quit her job as Governor of Alaska because of the pressure and spotlight on her family. How on earth would she and her family handle the spotlight as President of the United? Frankly, she isn’t knowledgeable enough let alone experienced enough to make a worthy candidate.

Sodakhic posted “Sit back and enjoy the next 17 months.”
LOL! We sure will. The circus that is the Republican presidential nominee process is going to be hilariously entertaining to watch. As they all try their level best to destroy each other, they will do nothing but give Obama tons of campaign material to use against whichever loser they eventually decide to sacrifice in the 2012 election. Yes, it will be fun indeed……

By the way, Sodakhic, calling us “left wing nutballs” certainly isn’t a very Christian thing to do. Shouldn’t you be in a church somewhere, spreading the ‘love thy neighbor’ lie Christians like to pay lip service to……..?

Dear “lame stream media”,
Please do not let Storm-trooper Sarah have her cake and eat it too. She claims she does not want your coverage, so, do not give her ANY. Let the right wing fascist press be the only ones to play her game.

Posted by: jim | May 29, 2011, 9:43 am 9:43 am

If no one would listen to this insane
woman she would go away.
Only people who have nothing to do or
who can understand this twit will pay
attention to her. God that voice of
hers is appalling.
She is so full of hate and she is not
good for America at all.
Go Sarah keep spreading hate around the
world.

If the media had gotten the same treatment as Sarah Palin last time around, the liberal media too would not tell the devil their plans. The press was more interested in her pregnant daughter, more like a TV soap than profession, objective reporting. So, lamestream media, take your reports from Fox News. She WILL talk to the media, but this time, it will be on her terms. Moreover, she was more qualified as VP choice than the current President was to be President. Voters sure gave high marks, must have been that community organizing and Acorn work that cinched the deal.

Posted by: curtis41 | May 29, 2011, 9:45 am 9:45 am

Is anyone surprised by anything she does? The freedom rider bikers did not ask her to join them. They do not want this drive to become political and are upset she has done so.They want people to concentrate on the drive to assist veteran’s families not her political future. They say she is a distraction and will not let her speak at their rally.
did she think about the real reason for the ride…No…she only thought about how it could help her…just like she did with thr Gifford’s shooting in Arizona..she made it about her…not those who were shot and killed. She is a sef=lf centered egotiist and everything is about her.

Posted by: Planecrash | May 29, 2011, 9:47 am 9:47 am

Maybe some angry veterans let the air outta her tires. That gal is a piece of crap. She cares nothing about veterans, just uses them to raise money to finance her sick ego.

Posted by: TexanVet | May 29, 2011, 9:50 am 9:50 am

Well, she either chickened out (that will not make your flying monkeys happy, Sarah) or she got lost. OR she plans to come riding in on her broom at the last second, take someone’s Harley, and ride for her life. I wonder if she and Toad got the motorcycle licenses they need to ride today? Maybe they’ll get arrested…THAT would make Faux’s headlines for weeks.

Posted by: Sally | May 29, 2011, 9:51 am 9:51 am

To start with: This is not a political move on Palins part. There are no places between DC and New Hampshire where she could possibly win more than single digit support. So the only logical conclusion is that she hopes to generate free publicity from the “lame stream media”. To the end of trying to bolster her sagging popularity with the objective of making more money. She is trying to out donald the Donald.

Posted by: bhammert1 | May 29, 2011, 9:52 am 9:52 am

Maybe the witch got the message she wasn’t welcome.

Posted by: TexanVet | May 29, 2011, 9:55 am 9:55 am

Notice how Sarah Palin was laying low all during Donald Trump’s publicity stunt and now that he’s “dropped out” of presidential politics, she took up where he left off. We can’t have *two* tasteless rock-star candidates at the SAME TIME, you know…
This “tour” she’s embarking on looks like a hastily put-together last ditch effort to keep her name in the news before she fizzles into a right-wing nobody.
I PROMISE you, she will NOT run for president. She would have to disclose too much information about herself and everybody knows she is severely lacking in the ethics department!
She plays coy, she plays her fans like a fiddle… but this bimbo isn’t going to run for president; it’s too much SERIOUS work and you have to be at least partially HONEST to run a presidential campaign.

Posted by: mavisdarling | May 29, 2011, 9:58 am 9:58 am

Republican Party line:
Need to be more fiscally conservative – Votes for $680 billion defense package
No to abortion – Wants unwanted kids to group up and go to war.
Pro life – Keep the death penalty.
Social Security is an entitlement program. – We the people have paid into it all our lives, now you take’th away. It then becomes another tax on us the non-rich.
No taxes – Especially if your rich, have money, have 2 parents.
No taxes (cont) It will stop job growth – or just put more money into your non-lint filled pockets?

I’m sure Princess Sarah has a plan and knows what she’s doing. Just because it doesn’t make sense to reasonable and rational people, doesn’t mean it won’t appeal to her fan base. Yes, “fan base.” Princess Sarah is no more a serious politician than Richard Simmons or Rush Limberger — she’s a media wh*re who lives for the spotlight, and her “unexpected” behavior is as much an attention-grab as the various “re-inventions” performed by several well-known pop stars.
There is no way — NO WAY — the more allegedly rational minds who populate the upper echelons of the GOP will let a inexperienced, petulant, ill-educated boob like Princess Sarah stand as their candidate in 2012. Unless they have an all-consuming determination to have their party seen as a laughingstock by the vast majority of voters who voted them out in 2008.

Posted by: Hieronymus Murphy | May 29, 2011, 10:14 am 10:14 am

I am not a fan of Palin and hope she doesn’t even get near to running- but to all the liberals posting your hate here — YOU are the ones full of hate..most of you are either too naive or just WILL NOT under ANY circumstances admit that this unqualified community activist that is now the president of the US has been an outrageous failure and if he is not removed…will continue to ring up our national debt, bow to enemies, give OUR TAX MONEY to ENEMIES & dictatorships, support organizations that CHEAT on elections- on & on-You cannot be for that???!!!- OBUMMER MUST GO ASAP!! … and he WILL. Whatever conservative candidate who wins will beat him!

NO Conservative will win President Obama. If they do well then America
has more stupid people in it then I
could ever imagine.
Let the Republicans in again and America
will never be able to recover, we are
barely able to now from Bush and Cheney.
What is even more disgusting is Sarah
Palin would go away but she knows
America has way to many stupid people
in it so she won’t go away.
Anyone who thinks Palin or anyone in
the Conservative side has da chance
dream on. Democrats will push back
and keep them out!
America is better than this!

Posted by: Lee | May 29, 2011, 10:23 am 10:23 am

Sarah Palin creates more headlines than any other politician in the country. When newspapers and media outlets want to boost revenue they run a story on Palin. The left hates her so bad they froth at the mouth. They would find any excuse to hate her. She’s gorgeous, successful, has a great husband, and five good kids. She’s also ran a successful business. What’s to hate about her?

Posted by: afkbrad | May 29, 2011, 10:26 am 10:26 am

Palin is an idiot plain and simple
just like her mind.
She is simple minded woman who really
knows one thing how to be igornant
and hateful and to make money from
the people who are dumb enough to give
their money to her.
She will continue her tirades as long
as people keep giving her attention
and money.

Sarah Palin strips the self-righteous mask off of the liberal and the “political groupie” as she draws the cheap insults and petty slurs of those whose “hate” would otherwise be disguised as political sophistication. In the end, she will not run. She has 3 years left on a million a year deal with Fox. Liberals, she’s playing YOU like a fiddle (but you still just sound like a bunch of Bolshevik pigs).

It appears that all the drop outs of the failed American school system have finally learned to one finger type on a key board. The comments written here have all the forgiving passion of a Mexican drug cartel. Not one person making these stupid comments about Sarah Palin and her family could stand up under the same if it were directed toward them. You make me really wonder if the Planned Parenthood has not finally failed by killing only babies with sane minds and leaving only the degenerates to live and become Liberals.

99.9% attacks against Palin and not a single ONE of them is based on fact or anything besides outright hatred and name-calling. I cannot understand how many people are so “afraid” of Sarah Palin.
Now, be afraid of Michelle Bachmann. She is one tough lady, as well as a highly skilled lawyer.
I think some of you should go and take a good dose of castor oil and sit upon the throne for awhile to clear your minds.

Posted by: Robert Cowger | May 29, 2011, 11:46 am 11:46 am

I love Sarah for many reasons, among them how she makes media and liberal (but I repeat myself) heads explode…
If she’d brought the bus, they’d complain she’s trying to upstage others at the event. She didn’t bring the bus, they complain about that, too.
We know who they fear. Sarah Palin – the liberals’ worst nightmare! But for conservatives she’s a proud voice upholding our Constitution and the principles of smaller, less intrusive government, lower spending and lower taxes. The liberals hate all those things – so they respond not by making cogent arguments against them but with name-calling and derision.

The Organizers of the event have been on NBC stating she is a distraction and her bus is not allowed, and she is not invited to speak.
So she is either hiding in shame and finally heading to obscurity, or in seclusion learning how to ride a Harley, because it IS an open event and EVERYONE is invited to ride and show support for the demonstration designed to encourage awareness of VFW and POW causes.

Wow! As I’m reading all these posts about Mrs. Palin, I cannot help but see a whole lotta anger and arrogance. And why IS that, I wonder? Jealousy perhaps? Or maybe foolish lack of understanding and/or inability or unwillingness to KNOW and recognize a good and genuine person when you see one? This country has been through hell because of the liberal attitudes which have brought moral decline. I am not a straight party Republican either, so before you start to accuse me of that, you can save your breath. I support candidates according to what kind of person they are; according to what kind of integrity they have, how genuine they are, and what their moral standards are. I don’t apologize for this, in fact I’m kinda proud of it. My advice to anyone who spews hatred at Mrs. Palin, I have this to say; listen to what she has to say-I mean really listen with your heart and your mind. Think outside of the box for once in your life. Mrs. Palin is a breath of fresh air in this rancid, foul and putrid nation of ours. Mrs. Palin is our hope for restoration to America. To American goodness. Perhaps our last and only hope. God bless Mrs. Palin, and God bless the United States of America.

Remember, it is “all about Sarah”, not the vets, the victims of the tornadoes (why doesn’t she go down there and help comfort/support the victims?) Maybe even contribute some of her millions!

I don’t think we are afraid of her, we are afraid of what she would do, and has been doing to the country with her hate, cruelty and anger, that she speaks. She is one angry person! I feel sorry for her followers, as when she gets their money, she will drop them, just like she has with “friends” when they have served their purpose. That is a fact! I feel sorry for her family, especially the baby – he probably doesn’t even know her, as she is never home. I would think a mother, having a special needs child, would want to spend every moment possible with the child.

Wow, such venom. Could you perhaps try to quote some facts that support your unnatural hatred of Sarah Palin–or is that too much to ask. She is an amazing, hard working woman who has been lambasted by the liberal media (an oxymoron, I know) but continues to forge ahead in spite of them. Go Sarah–you have many of us watching your back.

It is nice that liberals are still afraid of Sarah Palin. If vitriolic discourse would sink her ship, it would have already sunk. If you look at the large number of voters not pleased with the way the country is being run, then don’t count Palin out. The Democrats are waiting on the GOP to propose a balanced budget and get us out of the red ink, while the Democrats do and have done virtually NOTHING. Oh yes, maybe Obamacare, passed on Christmas eve by hook or crook. Americans did not WANT Obamacare, but it was passed anyway. It seems a major requirement to be a Democrat these days is to either give high marks to community organizing, perpetual campaigning, NO leading the country, or just be brain dead. Most voters only know about Palin’s pregnant daughter last time around. She can energize the base, most of the other candidates seem to have dead lice falling off them and they are as exciting as watching paint dry. Issues are the economy, jobs, growth of federal government, gross overreaching and overregulation by government, how to bring our deficit spending to an END, and restore respect for the U.S. It would help too if the U.S. Constitution were upheld and not treated as a rough draft, editable at will, or parts of which one objects, ignored. There ARE issues and Democrats are doing no good putting off fixing our financial house, or addressing legislation that neither side would like to tackle. Time for that is over.

mavisdarling anytime she wouldn’t abide by the law with something so simple as reporting gifts… you are right, she don’t want too run it she will have to follow the laws… She is ONLY about the money and VIP gifts! Another ethics complaint aimed at holding Sarah Palin accountable has been filed with the Attorney General’s office by Anchorage resident and registered Republican Andrée McLeod. The document charges that Governor Palin has violated the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act for failure to submit completed and signed gift disclosure forms claiming gifts received by her and her family as specified by law.
“Governor Palin intentionally and willfully broke the Ethics Act by not claiming gifts timely, if at all,” McLeod said.
The Ethics Act is exceedingly and simply clear in that officials MUST claim gifts within 30 days of receipt. Yet, Sarah Palin states in a June 15th letter, “There are boxes of unopened mail at this point, even mail that was delivered in 2008. Thus, as initially disclosed, ‘we continue to open boxes’ and we consider any parcel “received” at the time it is opened.”
“The governor’s statement sets off alarms. Alaskans expect their public officials to follow the rules of law; especially the ones that are intended to keep them honest,” McLeod said. “Instead this woman admits to having no intention of complying with our laws.”

As a viet-nam u.s.m.c. vet., I do not want to see this snake oil salesperson ,at a time when we should be honoring veterans.

Rolling Thunder NEVER invited her to be with them and they said they would NOT let her speak at their rally! Who the hell does she think she is? She is a despicable looser and her 15 minutes of fame is WAY over!!

It is so amazing to see the hypocrites and haters out in such large numbers. Why so much hate for one woman? Why so much hate for our Armed Forces? I mean, I can understand if you are NOT an American… but how can Americans hate Americans with so much passion?

Her fee is too high, besides These people want this is a parasite. A parasite living off of the American people. She knows she could give a hoot for veterans or anyone else. Sarah is for Sarah….she’s a Millionaire since the gullible of this country put likes “cartoons”.

Ironic to read so much vitriol from liberals about a woman they deem dumb and classless – it’s priceless even if it is blatantly hypocritical. Elitism at it’s finest :)

Sally Cartwright:
Your comment used the word “continues”.
Where did it begin. Try the Bush family and their friends/benefactors in Arab nations. (See Farenheit 911 for educational purposes). A picture is good, but thousands are better, and then throw in months of hugging and such…. and now you get the picture(s). Arabs and Kuwaitis killed the people on 9/11 and the “president”, purposefully not capitalized, sent them home on flights no citizen of our country could have gone on. Our airframe was shut down to all except military flights and georges/both friends and their families. WOW sit in a kindergarten class and stare and be lost for how long when America is being attacked??. Sarah???? here we go again. Someone will see that this doesn’t happen. The Presidency is not easy, look at the gray hair; but Sarah. No give me Hillary, a well educated, devoted person, or Lindsay,A bimbo.
DO NOT give me Sarah an uneducated bimbo. Next week we will all be in trouble for our views on this. WATCH OUT
Look into how much bush and his compratriots put into their personal world from this horrific thing and then begin to ask questions. PLEASE do not put up ill informed concepts of what has happened. And “SARAH” is better than who?? I DO NOT want a quitter for my :President. How would my fellow Special Op’s friends that have died feel for someone that leaves a state behind for her own “Princinessipicity”

This is great! I have no plans to vote for Palin, but it is so much fun to watch her tweak the ‘lame stream media’ and the Left.
Take it to ‘em Sarah!

Sarah Palin did absolutely nothing to show that she is qualified to be President. Her ten year old daughter doesn’t have the slightest idea of who George Washington is-and Sarah Palin is home schooling her. Blind leading the blind. Why would you elect someone who has such a big head but no brain?
