ABC News's Sarah Kunin (@Sarah_Kunin) reports:
Jon Huntsman’s motorcycle ride down the information superhighway continues today, now with a new fun fact: “Has seven children, one from India, one from China.”
Today’s video is the second in a series of Huntsman tutorials leading up to his announcement this Tuesday that he will run for president of the United States. Huntsman’s oldest daughter Mary Anne sent out the clip, asking recipients, “Will you RSVP and join us for this amazing event?”
“A couple days ago, mom sent you a video hinting of something exciting next week and boy did it get some attention!” she writes. “I can't turn on TV or get online without people wondering what's coming next. Well, here's "next"! Hope you enjoy it, and we're just getting started… We're only days away from a glimpse at the path that will restore our nation to greatness.”
Huntsman has enlisted GOP ad-man Fred Davis to create the set of cryptic videos. He is best known best for producing Carly Fiorina’s “Demon Sheep” and Christine O’Donnell’s “I am not a witch” ads.
The verdict still is out on whether or not Huntsman’s cool-guy campaign approach is actually working, but if nothing else, the dark horse candidate is building some buzz. This week David Letterman called out the former Governor on his show. “The newest candidate, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman is running,” he said. “So we put a segment together for you guys. It’s called ‘Get to Know Jon Huntsman.’ Take a look.”
A voiceover continues, “There’s actually no reason to get to know Jon Huntsman. This has been ‘Get to Know Jon Huntsman.’” Hey, all publicity is good publicity, right?
