Obama Jabs Republicans and Raises Cash in City of Brotherly Love

ABC News' Jon Garcia and Devin Dwyer report:

PHILADEPHIA – President Obama served up some political red meat to campaign contributors in Philly tonight, bashing his Republican challengers while picking up more than a million dollars for his campaign and the Democratic party.

“This campaign is at its early stages, I’ve got a day job, I’ve got other things to do,” Obama told about 800 supporters at a downtown hotel ballroom. “But while I’m working there will be candidates parading around the country. And they’re gonna do what they do which is they’re gonna attack here in Philadelphia, they’re gonna attack. They won’t have a plan but they’re going to attack.”

But the American people, Obama insisted, didn’t want to hear the back-and-forth of politics “as we’ve come to know it.”

“They are less interested in hearing us exchange insults about the past, they want us to exchange ideas about the future,” he said. “That’s the contest I’m looking forward to because I know that’s the contest that America needs and, by the way, that’s the contest that we will win.”

“I know there’s some of you who are frustrated because we haven’t gotten everything done that we said we were gonna do in two and a half years,” Obama explained.

“There are times when I feel frustrated but we knew this wasn’t going to be easy. … There will be times where we will stumble just like we stumbled sometimes during the first campaign,” he said.

“It’s only been two and a half years. I got five and a half years more to go,” he said to wild applause.

His speech was punctuated twice by hecklers, including some AIDS activists who have now made it a practice to interrupt Obama’s campaign events.  Both times the hecklers were shouted down by Obama supporters.

Obama was also to address a smaller crowd at a bigger-dollar fundraiser at the home of David Cohen, a vice president at Comcast Corp., in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia.

The fundraisers, no. 34 and 35 for Obama this year, come as part of an 11th hour push for donations before the close of the first major financial reporting period of the 2012 cycle.

The campaign had set a goal of $60 million by June 30. It's required to formally report its total by July 15 with the Federal Election Commission.

A ticker on the campaign's website showed more than 489,000 individual contributors to the campaign so far – well ahead of 180,000 contributors at this point in 2007.  During the same quarter in 2007, Obama raised $33.1 million.

Pennsylvanians have a history of opening their wallets for Obama. During the 2008 campaign, he raised $11.4 million in Quaker State, including $8.5 million in the Philadelphia metro area, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

“I’ve got a day job, I’ve got other things to do…”
“But nothing more important than raising money – and of course lowering my golf score.”
His “day job?” What a telling remark. Many a truth is said in jest.

Remember when teachers, public employees, Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS crashed the stock market, wiped out half of our 401Ks, took trillions in TARP money, spilled oil in the Gulf of Mexico, gave themselves billions in bonuses, and paid no taxes? Yeah, me neither.
Obama and Democrats get my vote, the choice is simple. If you have Social Security, Medicare, the right to vote, the right to an education, a clean park or a lake near you. If you were given a disability check or a wheel chair ramp into the store you buy your food, if you like safe bridges, clean drinking water, clean air and a nontoxic environment, if you feel safe when you fly, or eat out, or give your child a toy, then it’s time you give Liberals the credit they deserve.
The President promised that he would go after Wall St. regardless of the cost…and he did it. He promised to pass Health Care Reform and followed through. The President negotiated a nuke reduction deal with Russia, re-engineered the Afghanistan war, brought Osama Bin Laden to justice, and began withdrawing our Troops from Iraq. Have you ever seen a POTUS accomplish as much as President Obama in such a short time? Maybe you don’t like everything Obama is doing but I do believe that he and the Democrats are actually delivering to their voters what they said they would.
Like’em or not, the Democrats delivered:
Banking reforms:
HealthCare reforms:
Nuclear arms agreements:
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:
Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act:
Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act:
Children’s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act:
Weapons System Acquisition Reform Act:
Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act:
Student loan reform:
Keep on truckin Democrats.
For Republicans, reality is a distant land that needs to be conquered at the expense of the Americans and their families.
I’m tired of Republicans. It was all a nice puppet show. Foolish elderly Republican voters actually think that Republicans are going to repeal the Heath Care Reforms and ban earmarks and bring “freedom” back.
Would you hire a confessed animal hater to run a pet store? No? Then why would you elect politicians who freely admit to despising government?
Republicans rally against regulation of industry, and then America sees how that turns out when BP spills a million barrels of oil in our seas. Republicans will rally against gay people, stripping them of civil rights, and then you find them tapping their toes in airport bathrooms looking for their gay lovers. Republicans will rally against non-existent communists but have no problem driving our economy to the ground with Karl Marx like spending of trillions of tax dollars that they borrowed from China for endless wars against enemies that did not attack us.
After the last ten years of watching Republicans one word stands out as defining them perfectly; hypocrite. A vote for a Republican is literally a vote for the absence of leadership.
Hands down, I’m voting for the Democrats for the next decade.

as a lifelong resident of PA, I am a little upset that they referred to my homestate as the ‘Quaker State’?? Granted the states founder was Quaker(Billy Penn), but this was the first time I ever heard Pennsylvania being called that. Last time I checked the official nickname was ‘Keystone State’.
If you ever stopped through PA, you will see that the majority of us are not pacifist Quakers, although major news agencies want you to think otherwise.

The three reasons for Obama’s landslide defeat:
(1) Are you employed? Unemployment 9.1%
(2) Do you own a house? House values have shrunk to 2002 levels
(3) Do you drive a car? Gas prices at $4.00 per gallon and expected to rise.
So long, Obama

Hey Firedup49, You are being lied to. Start listening to the truth instead of the Democrats that are lying to you for their financial and political gain. You have contradicted yourself numerous times in your rant, you are being used and one day, hopefully we won’t live to see you regret it. Take your head out of your rearend and see how none of O’s “accomplishments” have materialized into a benefit, but have only placed up deeper in debt. Everything he and the Democrat Party says and stands for is a lie. They pretend to be one thing and do the opposite. Do some reading. Learn about all of the good people that sacrificed for you to live free and don’t worship those that wish to destroy the greatest country in history by taking our freedoms away. The only thing O has accomplished is that he has started to transform our country…into an abysmal disaster. He has failed in being a great president, but has succeeded in being a deceitful, lying Marxist!

He has a day job? Could have fooled me. The guy doesn’t get into his office until after 9:00 AM and that’s only when he isn’t jetting around the country raising cash or visiting the companies he propped up with taxpayer money. He can’t be bothered to meet with Republicans, but he can jet off to Philly on our dime to huckster for votes and cash. Then there are the vacations, and the golf games, the firing of one of his lapdogs for calling him a Richard. Come to think of it, he reminds me of old Tricky Richard.

For every two fundraisers that Urkel has, he loses 1% point in the polls. For every two rounds of golf he now plays, he loses another 1% point. He will soon be under 40% and once in the 30′s, he will NOT be able to recover. It just spirals out of control once you skid down to the 30′s. EVERY President that fell into the 30′s (Carter, the Bushes, etc.) lost their re-election bid. Obama is TOAST…..

It seems as if a four year presidential term is now about two years of real on the job commitment. From what I see Obama is his own worst enemy. If the media outlets were actually fair in their coverage of Obama his poll numbers would be a lot lower than they are now. As we get into 2012 the media will once again brazenly show their support for Obama and that might open the eyes of Americans to what has happened to the so called objective media coverage of politics. But I do not under estimate the power of stupid when it comes to the American electorate. Instead of Maryland requiring high school students to take some environmental courses before they can graduate have them instead study the political and main stream media of the United States. Maybe then we might get a smarter and better informed electorate.

Fireplug is a little uninformed,I see nothing there of value, a healthcare plan no one wanted and most of the things mentioned no one wanted either or asked for. Meanwhile, He has issued a back door order giving 6 million illegals amnisty though immigration,no one is allowed to bother them anymore. He has let in Chinese business men who have built 50 square mile intustrial sites in Idaho and 246 more of them are scattered throughout the US, tax exempt, and they impoprt their own workers and were given American citizenship regardless of whether they are muslim converts or communists. Hows that for starters, During the gulf oil spill he made 85 million dollars on that, simply by closing down all rigs, when they moved to Brazil he and George Soros invested in them, offshore account bingo!when they wanted to they closed that leak in one day, and moving right along,He has allowed communists to infiltrate our Government, George soros has worked and paid to get a lot of congressmen into office who are CFR members and socialist.Republicans can not win against them, too many of them. He has kept us at war for the whole time he has been in office, one of the reasons he won was his promise to get all the troops out, they are still there and there have been 3 more wars added to the turmoil. He said he brought some home, he did but replaced them with the same amount of new troops, that is not bringing them home.He has turned all of our water rights over to his idols the UN, Lakes streams, rivers ocean and the caribean and adjacent properties, including your rainbarrel. He turned us in to the UN for crimes against humanity and we had to listen to leaders from Sudan and Libya, yes Gadaffi , and all of the other raggedy assed nations. the first time we have ever been turned in for anything, he passed the farm moderniation act making growing food in your backyard illegal, with the codex code in it, all vitamins radiated out of food and your children will sicken and die at a very young age, part of the population control. Monsanto is king, he owns and makes almost all our food now while Obama eats organic. I can go on and on but i’m sure you won’t believe it, you can look it up under keyword though, then there is the high end vacations , the big one ccosting 200 million dollars. I’m sure you’ve heard of that. We will be getting a new constitution too, written up by the UN and expect the N. American Union to rear its ugly head, the Chinese and the Mexicans coming in and out are proof that it has started already. so fireplug,I’m not impressed with your list, those things are not important, the things I listed will impact all of our lives, not in a good way, I can’t think of one good thing he has done that effects me, the bank reform is a joke, you will be pauying a fee every time you pay a bill or make any transaction at all, so thats not a good thing. You have been duped, wake up while we still have a country left and don’t let this robot , this imposter tell you different, we are losing our country to a group he belongs ot, the CFR and George Soros. end of story.

@firedup49
You should go do your homework on the previous and current administration. Party favoritism = ignorance. I’m a conservative capitalist, and I’m about to educate you on your president Let’s look at your list of accomplishments.
Banking reforms:
Oh really? Spending a trillion dollars gave us what? Stricter loans for the qualified?
HealthCare reforms:
Borderline unconstitutional and has physicians wishing they never went 200k in debt to become a doctor. Yeah, I want that guy operating on me. Terrible plan.
Nuclear arms agreements:
Iran? North Korea? China? Turkey?
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:
Poke me when we have recovered.
Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
Wow this is revolutionary. Hard to sue someone if you have no job though. 9.1%? Hmm, how did this slide up to the top of the priority list?
Credit Card Accountability
This was a high priority? Shake off the important issues so we can focus on the easy stuff.
Responsibility and Disclosure Act
See above
Children’s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act:
See above
Weapons System Acquisition Reform Act:
Yawn
Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act:
Amazing accomplishment. New warning labels.
Student loan reform:
Seriously, did you really mention this? All this does is save the US government about $68 billion dollars over 11 years. For students, the loans will look largely the same – same terms, same fees, same interest rates.
WAR
He ran his campaign in 2008 on withdrawing troops from Afghanistan and Iraq, yet he enjoys taking credit for capturing and killing Osama Bin Laden.
Mind you, Bush is who put the troops over there to begin with, which is what Democrats were up in arms about a few years ago. But I guess it’s okay to take credit for the big prize “since we are already over there”; Completely contradictory.
ECONOMY
Let’s take a look at who follows who’s lead here…
Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP)
- signed into law by U.S. President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008
Bailouts (in order)
Citigroup (October 28, 2008)
Bank of America
AIG (American International Group)
JPMorgan Chase
Wells Fargo
GMAC Financial Services (Ally)
Obama Bailouts
GM, Goldman Sachs, Chrysler
and continued by Obama…
General Motors (April 21, 2010)
Goldman Sachs
Morgan Stanley
PNC Financial Services Group
U.S. Bancorp
Chrysler
Capital One Financial
Regions Financial Corporation
American Express
Bank of New York Mellon Corp
State Street Corporation
Discover Financial
Obama is the leader of a dog and pony show. His second rate accomplishments do not make him fit to run the largest company in the world. The United States is a business; a big one, and it is clearly too much for him to handle.

Really? For the last two and a half years, all I’ve heard from Obama is to blame Bush when Obama’s policies fall short (stimulus, unemployment), yet take credit when Bush’s policies benefited him (water-boarding to get Bin Laden).
I know plenty of liberals that (privately) admit to me that Obama has been a disappointment to them. Here’s some reasons why:
Massively increased deficits (Obama promised to reduce them)
Close Gitmo (still open with no chance of closing)
Getting us out of “illegal” wars, while engaging the United States in bombing wars against Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, and now Somalia without congressional approval.
Won’t raise taxes on the middle-class and poor, yet doubled the cigarette tax in his first three months in office.

Obama claims to know a hell of a lot about what the American people “want”.
However, nowhere does he mention that Americans want a smaller government with less need for incessant increases to tax revenue to get the hell out of the way of American industry so that the country can attempt to get some economic recovery rolling.
This fool doesn’t have a clue. I know several business owners and have been a job creator in the past myself.
NOONE is going to take the chance to expand or even hire additional help until someone, ANYONE can nail Obama down on EXACTLY how much his policies are going to add to the cost of doing business in America.
If we could somehow clear the slate tomorrow of Obama and his anit-job/anti-corporate/anti-industry policies, I’m confident that many business struggling with reduced staffing would be hiring by next week.
You can’t blame the job creators who honestly DON’T KNOW if they can afford additional staffing going forward.
Blame the guy creating all the uncertainty.

To the fine folks of Philly and all of the others that voted for obama in 2008 to prove that you were not a racist – Don’t you surely now have to vote against him in 2012 to prove that you are not stupid?
This quack has done nothing positive for the USA. His class warfare is going to backfire on him. His repetitive nonchalance whilst ROME is burning is making the aggrevation-meter go well past 100 on the dial. And Jimmy Carter is now smiling cuz he will move up from the bottom and now be the 2nd worst POTUS in the past 70 years.

We haven’t even heard much from most of the candidates, but Obama already knows they don’t have a plan? Isn’t that kind of like how Republicans didn’t have any ideas while Pelosi was locking them out of having any input? Remember the state of the union address in which Republicans just silently held up their printed plan that Obama and Pelosi would never acknowledge existed?

“The villiage idiot is at it again!!Here is a transcript of the fundraiser …Lie,lie, lie more lies even more lies….Now give me some money!!”
Ummmm George, if he’s at it again and makes $100s of millions doing it, maybe he’s not so dumb after all. (If he were a CEO we’d give him a bonus!)
But alas, George, on the downside he’s copying a lot of your policies, so maybe he’s the exact opposite of smart after all.
Obama is Bush III, only more so.

@JOE, Nice post, I like it a lot. Hard facts against generalizations always wins.
BUT
@Danola, @BradParker, @EdFromCA and @Joe, you tagged the wrong guy for the long Dem loving post. It was @APOSTASYUSA who posted the love fest for the Dems, voting all the way for them for the next 10 years. @FIREDUP49 was the neighboring post that was critical of Obama for using Air Force One as his personal jet.. Just setting the record straight. I didn’t want @APOSTASYUSA to get away with posting those generalizations and having @FIREDUP49 get pounded for it.
God help us if Obama’s in for 4 more years.

Madeleinet,
It is absolutely refreshing to see a poster who has their head on their shoulders! All of the things you stated are real, and are very important issues.
I wrote my senior dissertation on the NAU and the affect it will have on immigration. My liberal teacher, who forced on sabbatical for 8 years before she was allowed to come back and teach one course, and then she was forced to leave again, gave me a “C” because I said it effectively ends our immigration laws and our little support of so few of them.
I’ve been (correctly) predicting news headlines since. I have to say it’s miserly to see it all unfolding before your eyes.
Unfortunately, they took one poll about the NAU, and Americans said, “I don’t care! Give me more money!” in a crude translation, of course.

For those of you who are sick of hearing Obama and the Dems propagate the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, Educate yourselves:
Remember the day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember the day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment… to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was “Financially risky for the US economy”):
http://www.sportstalkworld.com/showthread.php?16828-Dems-Cause-CRASH%21
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac????
OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie???
The HYPOCRITE in Chief Obama
So when the kool-aid crowd blame Bush…
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!

The campaigner in chief is the only president to have done nothing about much to do as president.
The man has done nothing but blame the previous president for everything…As a supervisor of 40 people and if I had hired him to take over someone’s vacated position and he told me over and over he can’t fix cause the other guy was at fault, I’d FIRE the PUPPY in a NY minute.
Why did they vote for a man who can’t fix a bloody thing? This guy is a failure and thinks he can campaign his way out of it…amazing.
Reach across the isle, never has he done this…he says it a lot but never has he done it…yeah if REP agree with him then that is reaching across the isle.
They are going to attack, code word for rise up…Obama is a punk community organizer. This is going to get ugly sooner rather than later.
Obama is a great example isn’t he…while we suffer economically…he’s off jetting about…playing golf…and having a grand old time living the high life…amazing example for the people who are being pushed down into the lower classes. Francis Fox Pevin is lovin’ it but wonders why they haven’t started the protests…

Banking reforms:
HealthCare reforms:
Nuclear arms agreements:
Gosh lets walk down memory lane and see where these got me:
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: I worked at a University who squandered $7.1M on fixing the roof of the building I worked in. The workers did over $50k damage to the building and caused three department’s personnel staff to leave the office for several days from fume exhaust. The roof was not fixed, and when school started, literally ruined multiple students’ work and personal belongings. Who had to pay that back? Not the stimulus. Another great one is this restaurant that used street parking, and they used stimulus money to repave the street, and took away parking. He closed 3 month later. What acts have you witnessed? The $7.1M salsa went to lowest bidder=illegal immigrants. And I know since I spoke with them everyday.
Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act: Well this is laughable. A girl doesn’t get equal pay when they only hire males for that position. This act was rendered useless by the Supreme Court with the recent Wal Mart ruling.
Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act: You mean like how my sister cant get her CC company to re-open a card they asked to refuse new transactions, even though she has several grand available. At the same time, my husband filed bankruptcy 15 months ago, and has been recently granted several thousand in CC’s.
Children’s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act: it’s a war on the private sector.
Weapons System Acquisition Reform Act: Really? Because stopping legal purchasing of guns won’t require the market to go underground. Oh, wait…
Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act: Boo! Cigarettes may kill you! This act is a violation of people’s civil rights. Same University banned smoking on campus, violators were ticketed by campus police. If they refused to pay, a hold went onto their account and they weren’t allowed to learn anymore. That sounds necessary, and equal. Also average lifespan has grown, not receded with cigarette use. The University received more money from the GED for doing this.
Student loan reform: there wasn’t any need for reform. They really needed to have the right to break into a person’s home with a S.W.A.T team because they didn’t pay their loans (oh, wait, it wasn’t her home for two years! New tenants moved in, but that didn’t stop the Fed). For full disclosure the Dept. of Educations denies it’s for non-payment. They do not deny they have their own S.W.A.T. Team. So that’s what my student loan money is paying for?

1) Being (a good parent, friend, etc.)
2) Doing (a good gob, acts of kindness)
3) Talking (giving advice, talking up a good storm) on Political Punch)
4) Watching (other people doing the above, being a spectator, HD TV)

The cognitive dissonance of the left is truly staggering – an awesome sight to behold! Leftists shouting down leftists…great stuff! There is so much buyer’s remorse in this country after elevating this fool to the highest office in the land that Obungler has to limit his appearances to areas where he can do no wrong. Hardcore bastions of liberalism (like Philadelphia) will never decry this President, in spite of his atrocious record. He accuses the others of offering no plan, but all we see are plans from them, and nothing from Democrats but rejection and fearmongering. In 2008 he was going to change everything; now the story has changed, and he wants more time to play golf and destroy the economy. Only the most gullible, least educated and least rational believe anything that comes from this liar’s mouth. The fact that he even stands a chance with unemployment running over 9 percent is a testament to the hubris and ego of this fool, as well as the utter delusion and lack of intelligence of his blind followers.

So Obama states. I HAVE A DAY JOB and lots to do. HEY OBAMA YOU have a 24 hour Job. It doesn’t stop at 5. Obama is not Bush, Bush would get up at 7 and start to work. Obama gets up at 9 and starts work at 10 and works till 5 or 6. Then flies off to raise money for his reelection. Bush would go to the Texas White House and do real work, fix fences, or cut trees or get rid of brush. He would dig and plant trees. Obama digs, but in our pockets for green. Obama can’t recall his daughters ages, but can tell you what he shot at any golf games he played. Obama can tell you all the names of NBA players but can’t recall the name of the President of Germany or able to say her name. His wife and daughters leave for a few days to Kenyan and it cost taxpayers $800 K, Bush pays his own way whenhis wife and daughters went any where..

The racially motivated mob attacks (which the pathetic media have hardly covered, especially since many are hate crimes) in Philly, Chicago and elsewhere are merely a prelude to his campaign. This is the Obama grassroots movement of 2012 – training the brownshirts in voter intimidation.

The fact that this is not happening only serves to make more and more people wake up to the fact that the political ruling class and the media in this country are corrupt as hell.
We had better find some honest people to put in congress and clean out the corruption in all of the bureaucracies and courts or this land is going to burn.

Oh, good grief. Doesn’t ABC even care to question what he says???? Four articles later Political Punch reports:
“After a month of 11 fundraisers – from Miami to Puerto Rico, DC, New York and Philly – the Obama campaign seems poised to hit or exceed their Q2 goal of $60 M raised jointly with DNC. At this point in 2007, Obama alone raised $33.1 million from 180,000 contributors.”

Obama cannot fix the economy because he will not address the real problems:
* Reckless government spending at ALL levels of government
* Massive public debt
* Oppressive regulation
* High and complex tax structure
* Obamacare – a jobs killer
* Little incentive to work – 45 million on food stamps
* High gas prices
* High food prices
Obama’s CHANGE has taken away our HOPE!!!
Our “leaders” are clearly out of touch with the lives of the average American. The huge increase in the price of gasoline combined with higher prices for food will mean Americans have less money to spend. That will stop any economic recovery. Obama must start sending clear messages that he will encourage drilling for oil everywhere, reduce the mountains of senseless and wasteful regulations faced by businesses and individuals, reduce the amount, number, and complexity of government taxes and fees, and drastically reduce the size of government or our future is bleak.
We must continue to VOTE THEM OUT!!!

Cute line but, seriously, most of the peeps here appear to be Republicans and they would have no idea.Republicans just like to TALK tough and make premature proclamations (mission accomplished.) They don’t walk the talk. President Obama was able to announce that Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, was killed by an operation he ordered inside Pakistan, ending a 10-year manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist. Worth mentioning, imho.

But it’s Ok to go through life mistaken and wrong as long as you are pursuing your own special kind of happiness.
Cheers.

Sure thing.

Steph, you are very confusing.
I am not trying to tell you that Bush got Bin Laden in Afghanistan or anywhere else.
I don’t know why you would think that.
I don’t speak liberalease so it’s best not to try and converse with you.
You don’t understand me and I don’t understand you.
(sigh)

It’s actually pretty simple Noz, if you say Bush didn’t let Bin Laden get away in Afghanistan, then he must have caught him when they had him cornered in the Tora Bora, right?
And Rumsfeld and Tommy Franks didn’t give the orders not to deploy American troops to block off the mountain escape paths, right?

Good grief man, educate yourself! Start with the Senate Foreign Relations Report that details the orders given by Rumsfeld and Franks.

Tommy Franks doesn’t give orders not to do something.
Don’t go here don’t go there don’t do this don’t do that yada yada yada.
He gives orders to do something and obtain the objective.
Your statement is flawed and inherently wrong.
You’ve been duped.
