ABC News’ Sheila Marikar (@SheilaYM) reports:

While the critics have yet to weigh in, Bristol Palin’s forthcoming book has gotten two enthusiastic thumbs up from her mother.

Sarah Palin issued her first comments about “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far” on Twitter today.

“Bristol's Book: Shocking; Refreshing; Honest; INSPIRING! Perfect,” she wrote.

She also took a hit at the “lamestream” media, saying “'Not Afraid of Life' gives insight into how media can drive false … narrative. Spot on! (& she's courageous to write what she wrote, warning about decisions/consequences in encouraging way, esp for teens!)

In addition to those two tweets, Palin posted a third: a link to a photo of Bristol’s book cover.

Bristol’s book has generated a wealth of buzz thanks to her vivid descriptions of the night she lost her virginity to Levi Johnston and her digs at Sen. John McCain’s family, whom she got to know when McCain and her mother were on the 2008 campaign trail.

Never before has the child of a potential presidential candidate put out a book like Bristol’s ahead of a crucial election. But then, never before have we seen a potential presidential candidate like Palin.
