It is a dirty shame that the so called grownups that were elected to lead this country can’t seem to do what we as parents have taught our children (TO GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER AND DO WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR COUNTRY. I’m glad none of my children ae envolved in politics now because I would be ashamed of them. To bad our so called leader of the house thinks he is doing what he said he would do when Congress put him in that position, He should shed some of those tears now.

Mike in NC….but how do we get the ‘majority’ of the middle class – who are so blindly willing to support the GOP or the ignorant tea partiers – to understand what is being done to them? Especially when many are deep closted racists, bigots and are so narrow minded that they do not research or are not open to educating themselvs on anything? And you realize that the South’s penchant for ‘old time’ religion does nothing but stymie their minds to be more open. How do you fight that type of willingness to ‘stay in the past’?

It’s clear to me that Boehner has no intention of accepting a reasonable compromise. With plenty of help from The Tea Party and the one-sided, anti-Obama conservative media, he will get the support of their base whose only concerns are making the President appear to be a failure. That base has shown that they will believe and repeat any misinformation as long as it is against Pres. Obama. Boehner appearances in front of reporters are always scripted “talking points”. He NEVER speaks candidly. That is crystal clear to everyone except Tea Party types who have been brainwashed to a point wherein they no longer think or reason things out for themselves. They just repeat whatever Hannity, Limbaugh, Boehner,et al feed them. They remind me of the good people of Germany who were led into the destruction of their great nation by the demonic self-righteousness of Adolf Hitler. He knew better; they didn’t until it was too late. They simply believed what he told them about Jews being the reason for all their national woes. Replace Obama with the Jews and the GOP with Hitler and you’ll easily see history repeating itself. Dishonest rhetoric can be a powerful and deadly tool. We let it get out of hand from the first week of Obama’s presidency. Libel and slander suits should have been filed immediately but it seems that Obama was led to believe that would have been too divisive given the overall political environment. In hindsight, the administration had a tough decision but now we know that the GOP thrives on division and it was not to be avoided. Still, they should be held accountable for every lie and mis-quote they’ve used to divide this nation. We aren’t going to get anything done until we eliminate the Jesse Helms tactics that have become the GOP’s basic playbook.

Obama and all his minions have duped the American People.
Obama increased the debt by 40%. And since he has taken office, unemployment has never improved! U6 unemployment (the real unemployment number) stands at 16.2 percent as is getting worse each month.
Even VP Joe Biden admits that almost everything Obama has done has not worked.
Obama spent 4 Trillion and got no results.
And Obama’s minions keep defending him as our country goes down the drain!

Dear Speaker Boehner,
You should be aware that the citizens of this fine country find your actions as House Speaker to be deplorable. Your unwillingness to answer the president’s calls is down right criminal and your inability to compromise anything in the talks is anything but acceptable (You Should Be Fired). Your plans for cut, cap, and Balance makes no sense and your unwillingness to raise revenues through taxes & Loopholes(Which MAKES SENSE) is the most disgraceful act of your term. Your plan for a short term deal to push this issue back into an electoral year is not fooling any voting citizen in this country. You and your followers make no sense and the problems we see today come from the two terms Bush had in office. Even more specifically Bush’s administrations the 01-03′ tax breaks for the wealthy majority of americans. You have DISGRACED your office and the position you hold sir and I think you should forever have a sense of SHAME on your conscience. OBAMA IS THE BEST PRESIDENT SINCE F.D.R.!!!!!!!!

We are still a capitalist society, correct?
Yes? I thought so.
So in a capitalist society, what will happen if taxes are raised on the rich? Oh yeah, they will cut jobs and make the business SMALLER to drop down to a lower tax bracket, or they will initiate a fire-sale. What happened when unions forced minimum wage? Big companies moved jobs overseas. What happens when the government initiates price ceilings? Businesses stop selling those products and cause a shortage. What happened when the government imposed “rent control” in NYC and other large cities? Owners stopped maintaining the building and let them fall into slums because they could not charge what the buildings were worth. The government CAN NOT regulate capitalism! PERIOD. So the only way this gets resolved is for the government to take their fingers out of the economy and stop trying to regulate everything, ooooooooor, pay into programs which only serve the lowest income brackets, enslaving those people to the government for “taking care of them”, which ensures those people (who are a lot more numerous than the wealthy) will continue to vote for the politicians who support those programs. Eventually there will be no more reward for excelling, or innovating, or creating ANYTHING good, and people will stop trying. Why should I try hard to make something of myself if I will be penalized for it? It is all a cycle which leads to socialism. Period. Read 1984 and tell me that is not what is happening in this country….
