ABC News’ Emily Friedman (@EmilyABC) reports:
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney spent the second day of his trip to London meeting with Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron, and tweeting about it.
“Pleasure to meet with Prime Minister David Cameron today. Great few days in London,” Romney tweeted, also giving his nearly 60,000 followers a photo of the meeting.
He also met yesterday with former Prime Minister Tony Blair and Blair’s wife.
Romney traveled across the pond for a fundraiser held last night at the Dartmouth House in central London, his campaign telling ABC News that “there is a lot of interest in this election among Americans living abroad who, like everyone else, are worried about what the weak economy and lack of jobs means for our status in the world.”
“They want to know if we are going to lead the world economically or become something less,” said the aide. “To a large degree, they support Mitt Romney because he is well known as someone who has the skills and capabilities to turn the economy around.”
Romney heads back to the states later this evening.
