ABC News' Sheila Marikar (@sheilaym) reports:

Sarah Palin weighed in on the debt debate again on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox News show tonight, calling President Obama’s handling of the situation “more Obama drama.”

“Scaring the American people is exactly what President Obama is doing in that bizarre speech he gave last night,” she said. “He’s getting pretty good at this fear mongering.”

Palin characterized the Aug. 2 deadline as “looming, but it’s not Armageddon, it’s not life or death.”

Her solution to the problem?

“It’s the spending, stupid,” she said. “President Obama does not know what he is doing when we ask him to lead us out of this situation we’re facing with bankruptcy.”

The former Alaska governor stood by the Republican leadership, saying, “I do respect Speaker Boehner’s efforts in trying to negotiate with jello," as Boehner characterized talks with President Obama almost two weeks ago.

UPDATE: Palin also guested on the Fox Business’ “Follow the Money” Tuesday night and talked briefly about her 2012 aspirations. “I certainly have a fire in my belly to help this country get back on the right track,” she said, but reiterated that she hasn’t made up her mind about how she’ll do that: “Whether as a candidate or as a supporter, I’m still contemplating what that should be.”
