Sarah Palin’s Political Action Committee Raised More Than $1.6 Million During First Half Of 2011

Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, raised more than $1.6 million during the first six months of the year, according to a mid-year campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday.

Palin's committe raised $1,658,897 and spent $1,591,520. SarahPAC ends the first half of the year with $1,402,368 cash on hand.

During the same period of time — January 1 through June 30 — Sarah PAC contributed $65,000 to candidates and donated $18,700 the Young America's Foundation, according to the committee's treasurer Tim Crawford.

"We at Sarah PAC are very pleased and grateful for the tremendous support that Governor Palin receives from everywhere across our country Sarah PAC more than doubled the amount we raised as compared to the same time period in 2009," Crawford said in a statement. "We received more that 36,700 contributions from over 24,000 contributors."
