Why democrats appose a balanced budget amendment comes down to philosophical beliefs. Democrats are all about big government that has control over every aspect of our society (socialism) and one way to do so is to keep citizens in debt up their eyeballs, slaves to welfare, and government handouts. We are not free, we are slaves to overspending. Democrats in this country are so backwards, so turned around, so incapable of simple logic, that, when faced with a proposal to do the right thing, such as passing a budget that requires government to spend within their means, it sounds wrong them! Absolutely amazing.

What a disgrace Obama, Reid, Schmmer, etc are,,,do they really think they can lie their way to a supposed victory ….where is the Democratic plan for for 800 days or 2 + years..These “gentlemen” cannot think the entire American public is that stupid….The country must get rid of these phonies, non-truthful elected officials of both parties…and I would include Sen McCain as well…not just the President, not just Democrats…but Republicans..who are not truthful!

Freedom – because the bill they sent over is a complete joke. It’s political theater at this point because Boehner couldn’t get it past his own caucus unless he made it way more radical, which means it stands zero chance of making it out of the Senate.
He REFUSED to craft a bill with the Dems in the House or Reid. And he was CLOSE to a deal with Obama until the Tea Party candidates got uppity.

Reid has repeatedly said he had a plan and yet there are still people out there who claim that the republicans are the only ones with a plan.
Well one thing is for sure. The repubs are certainly winning the propaganda war of talking points because few people will actually pay attention beyond a few emotionally charged words.
Example is that completely untrue ad by the repubs about Americans being debt slaves of the chinese…what a load of bull. China holds 1.2 trillion debt and is one of the smaller debt holders of the USA after the citizens and the fed. In a bankruptcy court, I doubt china would ever see a dime of their money because the largest debtors are paid first.

The GOP claims only the rich pay income taxes, bull!!. In 2007, I had a tax liability and I made $9000, not 9,000,000. Of course EIC covered it, so what. Corporations have corporate welfare and loopholes protected by REPUBLICANS

The Democrats and Pelosi had control of Congress for over two years. How come there was NO budget presented? How come President Obama’s budget he presented in March, failed miserably, 97-0, not even a Democrat voted for it? How come Reid said any GOP plan would be DOA in the Senate without discussion? How come President Obama said he would veto any bill that comes from the House? How come the Democrats are allowing our country to go into default?
Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago will be the questions voters will be asking themselves next year as they go to vote. The resounding answer will be “NO!”
Barack Obama will never be re-elected with the destruction he has caused for America.
