ABC’s Jordyn Phelps reports:
Former Bush adviser Karl Rove is predicting that Sarah Palin is going to announce a presidential run in the coming weeks.
“She has a schedule next week that looks like that of a candidate, not a celebrity," Rove said Saturday on Fox News.
Rove pointed to a campaign-style video released by Palin's PAC last week after her visit to Iowa State Fair during the Ame’s Straw Poll and her reference to a Tea Party event she will attend on September 3 as evidence that Palin may be preparing to announce a presidential run.
Rove went on to say that Palin is reaching a critical point, and if she doesn’t get in soon, she may be too late.
“This is the last chance,” Rove said. “She gets in or out. I think she gets in.”
Rove's prediction is tempered by the fact that he is not a member of Palin's inner circle. He has also been known to publicly criticize her.
The Sept. 3 Tea Party event, at which Palin is the keynote speaker, has recently been moved from Waukee, Iowa, to a venue in Indianola, Iowa, to accommodate larger crowds.
Palin has not signaled that the Sept. 3 event is a presidential announcement, only going so far as to invite people to attend the event in a Facebook post from Monday.
“We hope to see many of you there as we gather to discuss the direction of our country and the way forward with our fundamental restoration of all that is good and strong and free in America,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page.
