The media should not be the king makers (or queen makers) in a democracy. Just remember, don't believe everything you read or see. They probably had 3 classes a week during one junior high school year, and no more. The press has always been politically biased in this country since the 1770's. Why would anyone expect anything different today. If you want to read something nice about Democrats, read the Washington Post. If you want to read something nice about Republicans, read the Wall Street Journal, or watch Fox News, both owned by that paragon of journalism, Rupert Murdoch. You have to pick your sources and read or watch everything skeptically. It continuously amazes me how little US history candidates like Paul and a lot of comment posters know. They did everything they could to ruin Ron Paul's chances back in 2008. They barred him from one debate. In the second debate they asked him if he was even electable. Paul gave a great answer and received a loud ovation. Fox cut that out of the second showing of the debate. RICK MCDANIEL posted “You have to listen to Fox, to even get another opinion. No different than the politicians who consistently change their messages based on who they are talking to. The media was once a well respected establishment and in truth it probably wasn't deserved, because I am sure they didn't become biased and somewhat corrupt overnight. But with the advancement of technology and the availability of unfiltered information, the media is running on thin ice. Because the days of people trusting them as a "true" source of info are cracking badly. And if they truly want to save their business and credibility they better keep up with the pace of technology, because truth no longer needs the media to get the word out! Together, the "big six" absolutely dominate news and entertainment in the United States. But even those areas of the media that the "big six" do not completely control are becoming increasingly concentrated. For example, Clear Channel now owns over 1000 radio stations across the United States. Companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are increasingly dominating the Internet. But it is the "big six" that are the biggest concerns. When you control what Americans watch, hear and read you gain a great deal of control over what they think. They don't call it "programming" for nothing. These gigantic media corporations do not exist to objectively tell the truth to the American people. Rather, the primary purpose of their existence is to make money. These gigantic media corporations are not going to do anything to threaten their relationships with their biggest advertisers (such as the largest pharmaceutical companies that literally spend billions on advertising), and one way or another these gigantic media corporations are always going to express the ideological viewpoints of their owners. Fortunately, an increasing number of Americans are starting to wake up and are realizing that the mainstream media should not be trusted. According to a new poll just released by Gallup, the number of Americans that have little to no trust in the mainstream media (57%) is at an all-time high. That is one reason why we have seen the alternative media experience such rapid growth over the past few years. The mainstream media has been losing credibility at a staggering rate, and Americans are starting to look elsewhere for the truth about what is really going on. Do you think that anyone in the mainstream news would actually tell you that the Federal Reserve is bad for America or that we are facing a horrific derivatives bubble that could destroy the entire world financial system? Do you think that anyone in the mainstream media would actually tell you the truth about the deindustrialization of America or the truth about the voracious greed of Goldman Sachs? Sure there are a few courageous reporters in the mainstream media that manage to slip a few stories past their corporate bosses from time to time, but in general there is a very clear understanding that there are simply certain things that you just do not say in the mainstream news. But Americans are becoming increasingly hungry for the truth, and they are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the dumbed down pablum that is passing as "hard hitting news" these days. The 800 lbs elephant? ISRAEL! Every other candidate is sucking up to AIPAC and it's member groups. Not Ron Paul, he says cut out all foreign aid moneys. Including Israel's. AIPAC and it's supporters cannot have that so they have to marginalize Dr Paul. They HAVE to make him appear unwinable. The mainstream media is afraid to go against the Zionists at AIPAC. American politics is the classic, phony "two party paradigm" - the illusion of two different parties counter balancing one another - remember recently McCain and Kerry arm in arm championing for illegal war with Libya? Do you feel it is strange that Obama never changed Bush/Cheney policies regarding: torture; bailouts; WARS; Patriot Act and lost of civil liberties and abuse of American citizenry. Exactly....my friend, hence - THE GREAT 2011 RON PAUL BLACKOUT! Ron Paul challenges the status quo and they fear him! They need to keep this bogus war on terror going and ramped up bombing and saber rattling. Face it people - our government has been totally co-opted by corporations and international banking. It’s about pipelines to European Union – not your safety and maintaining your freedom. The entrenched corruption in both parties in DC is stealing our national wealth and our individual liberties and rights guaranteed under the Constitution and using FEAR to do it!!! Descent folks of all political persuasions need to come together NOW and TAKE THEIR COUNTRY BACK from these criminals who abuse the rule of law. Democrats, independents and republicans stop supporting your party’s status quo and start supporting your country! We are on the way to becoming a third rate footnote in history - these globalist criminals don't care about you or your family. They care about power and global government and use our military and national wealth to achieve their sinister agenda! The “Banksters” and “Tanksters” buy off our representatives and ignore our laws – rights and liberties. Only adherence to the rule of law will keep you safe - the supreme law of the land – the U.S. Constitution. Ron Paul is dedicated to upholding the rule of law both nationally and internationally and has a 30 year record to prove it! He is not owned and he does not pander – he tells the truth. If you want things to continue status quo and the tyranny to grow than vote for Obama; Romney; Bachmann; Perry etc., but if want things to change and be assured that you will maintain your rights and liberties and not be silenced than begin to restore America now! Support the only candidate for 2012 with the courage to take on the corrupt establishment- RON PAUL!
