You would sound more erudite, Larry, if you could remember that the name of the company is “MillerCoors.”

Unfortunately, Mr. Coors is a member of ALEC, which is already shutting down competition and giving him the beer market. THAT is not funny at all.

If America fails, the Republicans will rejoice. This is treason. It’s is all about the rich not giving an inch as long as Obama fails. Obama has no chance of failing even if he is president for only one term. He has practically delivered most of what he promised, whether the tea baggers like it or not. I am advocating boycott of all Koch Industries products(google it and see what they are). That will teach them that the so called middle class and poor are important after all.

Chuck, most tea party members are middle-class or lower. They are voting against their own interests when they vote for tea-party candidates. Weakening Medicare, privatizing Social Security will negatively impact them. Lowering taxes on the rich will leave states short of the funds they need to hire enough police, firemen, etc. which will also negatively impact them. Loosening banking regulations will eventually result in another banking crisis and thus economic problems, which will again affect them financially.
Tea-party people have been hood-winked into self-harm.

Intelligent people don’t vote on the basis of campaign slogans or things like so called compassionate conservatism or the notion that tea party candidates would give two hoots about jobs once elected or Palin’s death panels whopper, or wink, for that matter, or Bush’s “clear skies” act or Reagan’s four pillars that he never put into place or mission accomplished, or waterboarding isn’t torture or read my lips or….. you get the idea. And yet they still vote. Because its their civic duty. And the GOP doesn’t offer up many reasonable or worthwhile candidates. McCain and Palin, seriously? Paul, Cain, Perry, Romney, Newt, really? There’s a reason Obama is holding his own despite his status as an underdog given the economy…. the GOP has become a joke. It’s sad, really, the party of Lincoln and all.

Have you read Mike Lofgren’s piece called “Goodbye to All That: Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left the Cult?” “It should have been evident to clear-eyed observers that the Republican Party is becoming less and less like a traditional political party in a representative democracy and becoming more like an apocalyptic cult, or one of the intensely ideological authoritarian parties of 20th century Europe. This trend has several implications, none of them pleasant.”

Word! Bruce Bartlett, Mike Lofgren, Lincoln Chafee, Chuck Hagel… sensible people are leaving the party.

au contraire, those of us who looked at oBama’s voting record informed ourselves and knew exactly what he was all about. “Michelle”, if you didn’t inform yourself, that says more about you than the magical someone you’re wishing did research for you. It is unfortunate so many lies were spread by the right wing machine that includes Murdoch, and the Koch brothers. It is unfortunate more time was spent smearing than engaging in logical discourse and good journalism, but the democrat party put up two very good candidates and they were both vetted thoroughly. The same can’t be said for the GOP, then and now. Perhaps you should vet the candidates now so you won’t have the same regret some day. After all, Obama is the underdog in the next election. Wishing for something won’t make it happen.

Remember when right wingers pretended to be about self-reliance? What happened to that canard? lol.
