Good….MS Dowd. I hope Perry is the GOP candidate. He’ll never win ion the national stage. He is TOO EXTREME. And that type of ‘leopard’ cannot change his spots (by lying effectively to moderates) in that short of time frame.

If Perry is true to his statements that Texas has the right to secede from the union, then pledging alligiance to a republic that is one nation, under God, “INDIVISIBLE” is an act of hypocracy.

Perry took Hutchinson in the Texas primaries by taking the Hispanic vote 2 to 1. 54% of Texas Hispanics identified themselves as conservative in a poll before the primaries- meaning the Hispanic block was a factor in the primaries.
Perry gave illegal immigrants in-state tuition, is against E-Verify, and puts immigrants on the transplant waiting list with no weight given to citizens.
Perry talks out of both sides of his mouth.
Everyone in Texas has known it for years. It’s about time the country started to figure it out.
In any random room of people in Texas, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone to admit they like, much less voted for, Perry.
He ain’t called “Slick Rick” for nuthin’.

If his opponents do not insist that Perry states his plan to deal with Social Security, they are missiong the point. BTW, the author used the words “former” and “latter” incorrectly in the sixth paragraph.
