I'd agree if it wasn't for this recession. Business owners, small and large, are not going to (invest, create jobs) when no customers are walking through their doors. Also siding with people who don't pay their fair share won't create jobs either. We need to eliminate the fear in the economy, the quickest way to do that is to get people working again, whether its the government or the private sector makes no difference.

tferretti...the only voice the common man always had was his own. when you broker out your future to others you are beholden to their wishes.
big business? how about small business which is the engine of this economy and over regulation is killing it. hopefully a good compromise will come out of the jobs bill but i believe the more money you leave with job creators the greater the chance of jobs being created. opening up oil and gas exploration is a no brainer. obamas policies address symptoms rather than the cause. continuing to fund incompetence only leads to further incompetence. he need s to incentivize rather than punish those who create jobs. siding with people who pay no income tax will not lead to jobs.

CATMAN

The unions have been weak for years. It's too bad, they were the only voice the common man had. Do you honestly think all the out-sourcing would happen if the unions had a say. If you think continuing to reward big business and the wealthy will turn this recession around you are sadly mistaken.

The president has proposed a jobs program. Most of it is what the republicans have wanted for years and he's willing to negotiate about the rest. The republicans have one agenda, making sure this recession continues into 2012 so the president doesn't get re-elected.

They're in for a big shock, Americans know the game they're playing.

.SMARTTHINKING

They're more worried about if they get to go to Disneyland than about the national debt.

I have no doubt that the tea party will go away in the future and we can get this economy moving again and people working. The debt will fade with an improved economy as it did under Clinton. Jobs, jobs, jobs are the key. The republicans need to quit fiddling while Rome burns.

I I have two grandchildren, a boy 4 and a girl 6. I've nicknamed them the tea party kids. When they don't get their way the call each other names, when there's candy, if one doesn't get it all he/she doesn't want any. They cry and whine when they don't get to do what they want to do.

My daughter and son-in law spank their butts when they get too out of control and hopefully when they are 7 or 8 they'll be much improved. Where the hell were the parents of this tea party bunch? Someone needs to put them over a knee.

Considering all of the money thrown away in the Solyndra fiasco. Over $500 million in the trash when over 30 states got less for promised infrastructure. This administration is mismanaged to the nth degree. No budget since 2007, even with an uncontested super-majority. 4.1 billing in spending a day and the job creating stimulus resulted in few new jobs. Now they want more stimulus money to squander!! Pitiful!
Obama makes the spendthrift Bush look fiscally responsible. I didn't think he would make it worse...but he managed and in such a short time. Who would-a-thought!!
