Cain's comments, simply demonstrate how poorly informed he is, on many of the real situations, in TX. He is dead wrong about a lot of things in his comments.

I cannot support Cain, because his plan relies on a variable tax, that could leave the government underfunded in a downturn economy, and, I do not think there should be a single flat tax. I am for a simple tax structure, but tiered, with 3-4 tax rate tier levels, so that the wealthy do not get a bigger break than is fair.

I think the poor should have a single rate, the middle class 2 rates......upper, and lower, and the rich another rate. I also feel, that there should be a minimum tax rate for all citizens, at those rate levels, which they are REQUIRED to pay. No citizen, no matter how poor, should be considered too poor, to pay something, towards the operation of our government, even it is just $50.

We Americans complain about our government. If want the cause of why it's broken just look in the mirror. Our government is a reflection of us. There's no Middle America anymore. Everyone is so focused on themselves and their agenda there's no compromise.

We used to be the Greatest Generation when Americans worked together. We had our differences but we all compromised and worked together on what was good for this country.

Today it’s the "Me Only Generation". It’s not what is good for all of us but just what is good for me. Give me everything I want or I'll destroy everything.

We complain about our politians, then look the other way when they receive millions of dollars in campaign contributions from corporations, unions, PACs and every other self interest group. Washington is overrun by lobbyists whose job is to pay these representative s money to represent them instead of the people. We can’t even get together on how to stop it. We believe every political ad on TV is true.

We now send less than 1% of our young men and women to war while 99 % worry about where their next beer or high is coming from. There should be a law that if our country enters a conflict that the draft should automatically be triggered. Those who object on moral grounds should have to serve at least 2 years in the Peace Corps or VISTA.

Wake up America, we have seen the enemy and it is us.

LOL! ..... Herman Cain and his "9-9-9" tax reform plan. First of all, turn that "9-9-9" upside down and you get "6-6-6"... I'd be worried if I were you Re-publi-t'rd-minions (*wink*). Second, Republicans are always saying that "only the top 20% of income earners pay all the taxes"... LOL!... OK, so now with that standard Republican line in mind, under Cain's plan you want to tax the bottom 80% a 9% income tax AND also tax that lower 80% an additional 9% sales tax ON TOP OF STATE SALES TAXES for everything they purchase!!! .... LOL! ... and this is supposed to somehow "stimulate" me to buy things to "stimulate" the economy? ... What a joke Herman Cain has provided us with. What he's looking for is an even lower "EFFECTIVE" tax rate for his Godfather's Pizza Corporation, that's all it boils down to.

ikeInCarolina, OK then, share with us why I am wrong and don't understand. Please. I want to know why so that we can help overcome the issue(s) that keeps a man like Herman Cain from winning the nomination.

Brian, Why do you say that Cain will not win the republican nomination? What stops that from happening? I don't understand why Herman Cain can't win the republican nomination. I think he can.
