Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was evacuated from a flight at Dulles airport Wednesday, according to a Supreme Court spokesman.
The 78-year-old justice and cancer survivor slid down the emergency slide with other passengers of United flight 586, a Boeing 757. There were reports of smoke just after the plane backed away from its gate and the pilot evacuated plane.
A spokesperson for the airport told ABC News that emergency personnel did not find any fire upon arrival at the plane and no foam was deployed to douse flames.
There have not been any reports of injuries in the evacuation.
A Supreme Court spokeswoman said Ginsburg is “fine.”
Ginsburg is scheduled to appear at an event at the University of California Hastings College of law Thursday afternoon for an interview in front of a live audience.
