Funny how the Republicans held Congress from 1995 through 2007 and the White House as well from 2001 to 2009, when they cut taxes to the bone while spending got completely out of control. They had two unfunded wars [Obama put them on the budget which is one of the reasons why heis made to look like the one who spent all of the money] and Medicare D. Remember, the first Stimulus was Paulson who told the Democratic Congress that AIG and Wall Street banks were “too big to fail” but put NO limits or restrictions on how they spent their money. At least, the Dems are taking a realistic approach saying that the spending will be cut, but it can only be cut so much. There MUST be Increases in income as well.

II can see it now. As our economic ship slides into the abyss, Boehner, McConnell, Cantor and all the tea party republicans will be standing on the deck yelling “NO NEW TAXES, BALANCE THE BUDGET, DON”T SPEND, LOWER THE DEFICIT”
