What jobs bill? Oh, you mean the second stimulus to pay off unions and put us deeper in debt? Any Democrat that votes for this bill might as well sign his resignation letter.

No, Arkie vet, the fact that majority of Americans support the provisions of the bill is derived from multiple polls over the past few weeks. Look it up so you can be better informed.

Seems there is no interest in being better informed, only in cutting and pasting right wing talking points.

Ron....I'll tell your right now "Arkie Vet" doesn't 'buy right wing lies' ...he spreads them. And he works under the 'illusion" that the rest of us do not pay attention to what has gone on since "W" took office. Stand up for what you understand and believe conceptually and don't even try to 'argue' with him 'in the gutter'. I have no idea what 'fantasy land' he pulls his 'facts' from....but they all have traditional. right wing spin attached to every one of them.

Americans don’t want to see another half billion of their tax dollars get laundered back into the DNC through unions..

Again the ignorant lack of factual interest from the right wing in America. Over half of the money in the new act is in across the board payroll tax breaks for regular working Americans and businesses. Yet more lying from the Republican right. Reality, facts and honestly are not part of their world, other than as in opposition to their political bigotry.

... the 3.5 trillion in the ONLY budget we have had during the Obama administration DID NOT include war funding

Posted by: arkie vet | October 3, 2011, 4:37 pm 4:37 pm

Wrong again Arkie. The 2009 budget was the budget passed on from Bush and did not include the war funding because Bush did not include it.

The president's (Obama's) budget for 2010 included funding for Iraq and Afghanistan. On December 16, 2009, Obama signed a portion of that budget into law providing $101.1 billion "for operations and maintenance and military personnel requirements for ongoing military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and to support preparations to continue withdrawal from Iraq.

The president’s 2010 defense budget a year ago requested $130 billion for operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and just $50 billion in 2011. The new budget ramps up 2010 spending to $163 billion and for 2011 requests $159 billion in overseas contingency funds for the military.

Nonetheless, seeing everything in a single budget brings the war costs more into focus.
