I guess I had to answer my own question. There is no such law banning assault weapons.

The Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) (or Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act) was a subtitle of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a federal law in the United States that included a prohibition on the manufacture for civilian use of certain semi-automatic firearms, so called “assault weapons”. There was no legal definition of “assault weapons” in the U.S. prior to the law’s enactment. The 10-year ban was passed by Congress on September 13, 1994, and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton the same day. The ban only applied to weapons manufactured after the date of the ban’s enactment.
The Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired on September 13, 2004, as part of the law’s sunset provision. There have been multiple attempts to renew the ban, but no bill has reached the floor for a vote.

ABC is like any other news organization. They try to be fair and balanced, not for the public, but for their own bottom line. There are billions of dollars involved in ratings and advertizing revenue if this election stays close. They use the polling services to adjust public perception of who’s winning or losing. The way the pollsters ask the question pre-determines its outcome. If the President or the GOP shoots up in the polls, you can bet the next day a poll will come out with the opposite results. Polls are useless in determining a true picture of public opinion.

If you guys are telling me it’s illegal to sell a fully automatic AK47 assault weapon in the USA then I’ll agree with you. Where are all these fully automatic assault weapons found in our cities coming from? Does the law apply to gun shows also?

Yes, – ABC News is against all GOP candidates, as everyday they do their hit piece on any GOP candidate to prop up their failed presdient Obama. ABC News has never once did any negative article on Obama, or even look into his crack coccaine past. We all know had a GOP candidate admit that they did crack coccine in college and does not remember an entire year because they were high, as Obama did in one of his two Bios. then ABC News would be all over that GOP candidate saying they were unfit for office, plus saying things like they had gay affairs they don’t remember. But since it is Obama, and since Obama is a Democrat and a Liberal then ABC news stays silent on Obama’s past. Total hypocritical.

So perry would leave the troops in there, when Iraqis have said they will not be given ammunity. In other words they could be rounded up and charged by the Iraqi government for war crimes or whatever else they can dream up.

The guy likes guns. And. According to the Brady foundation 73% of the American people believe in the right to keep and bear arms. The US Supreme Court has agreed with us. Twice.
We supposedly live in Democratic Republic. 73% constitutes a pretty good majority. We are a nation of laws. The highest court in the land has ruled on the subject. Twice. That pretty much settles it.
When Clinton signed his gun ban he predicted that it would cost a lot of Democrats their jobs. He was right. For the first time in fourty years Republicans gained a majority in Congress. When the Clinton Ban came up for renewal there no serious efforts to get it passed.
Put simply so even the Brady Bunch and their minion can understand it. Americans do cling to our guns. Have, do and will.
