Gov. Mitt Romney was optimistic during a campaign stop at a Florida restaurant today, telling voters here that there is a “good shot” he might become the next president.

“There’s a good shot I might become president and if so I want to hear from the American people who are leading enterprises that are hiring people on what we need to do better,” said Romney.

Romney spent over an hour shaking hands and speaking with voters at the Seminole Wind Restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida, where he also made his first on camera remarks about the anti-Wall Street protests that have been sweeping the nation.

Asked by ABC News if he had any thoughts about the occupy Wall Street movement, Romney paused for a few moments before responding.

“I’m just trying to get myself to occupy the White House,” said Romney before climbing into his SUV.

Before sitting down with a handful of local business leaders, Romney took a tour of the kitchen, where he commented again and again on the good looking fried chicken.

“Look at all that chicken!” Romney exclaimed. “Do you get any chicken you want? Any part?”

“Is that corn meal?” he asked, weaving through the pots of broth on the stove and a worker who was peeling summer squash.

The presidential hopeful also helped himself to a dish of food at the restaurant’s buffet — piling on the fried chicken and grits and also grabbing a few vegetables.

“I love Lima beans,” he told the press, chasing him as he filled his dish.

As he ate, he heard from the business leaders expressing concern over the reach of the federal government and the rising cost of health care.

Before he left he took another bite of chicken and left a $20 dollar tip.

Romney is set to hold a private meeting with Florida Gov. Rick Scott this afternoon before heading to Charleston, S.C., for two days of campaign events.

He does have a good shot, but he is a conservative want-a-be, he is a liberal and if elected this country will continue its downward spiral.

Mitt has only won ONE election in his entire life. He’s a perennial candidate. Always a bridesmaid………….

To who ever is saying I am posting to quickly, I read the article and give my thoughts, if I am reading/posting to fast for you I suspect that is because you are a liberal and are waiting for someone else to tell you your thoughts and position. Posted by: karek40 | October 6, 2011, 8:18 am

LOL! You are an idiot. That message is an automated message, they have some sort of glitch in the system software that does that for everyone now and then. Suspecting that some sort of ‘liberal conspiracy’ is keeping your posts from going through is hilariously dumb of you. Because your comments really aren’t that meaningful, insightful, or interesting…………..

Now that Cain has made the ultimate insult to Americans…blaming the protestors for not having jobs and not being rich….Romney appears to be the only one standing in the Republican game.
But just wait! The GOP cult has yet to get fully involved. Remember what they did to McCain’s campaign when he was the only Republican standing. There’s nothing like a good old fashioned corrupt cult to mess things up.

Mitt Romney – the candidate Republicans love to hate.

He seems kind of embarrassed to be on board the little ship of fools that he’s riding on now. Some might see him as a bit haughty or condescending but he really is bending over backwards not to come out and call them all a bunch of idiots. The trouble is he won’t cut into any of the key demographics to take a win, hence the GOP’s failed Christi initiative. He’d be a great democrat though, as he was in MA (not literally but virtually). Maybe that’s the strategy, run as a RINO and pit a democrat against another democrat. But there again, not enough slicing power for the key demographics, and no motivated base. It’s Obama’s to lose this day.

As a democrat voting for Obama, we could do much worst should the president lose to Obama-lite.

Romney, Cain, Perry…. even Elmer Fudd has a “good chance”!! —- Just look at the bad week Obama and the Dems are having!!!! ——– Dick Durbin tells consumers to exit Bank of America from the floor of congress because BOA is changing their fee schedules… when the changes are a direct result of Durbin’s amendment to Dodd-Frank… LOL!! —- Obama is caught in a lie about when he knew about Fast and Furious… and a sp, ecial counsel may be named to investigate Holder as he changes his story… LOL!! —- Emails surface proving Obama knew Solyndra might not survive well before he pushed for government-backed loans… LOL!!! —- Harry Reid had to block a vote in the Dem-controlled Senate on 10-4 to avoid a humiliating defeat of Obama’s “jobs bill”… LOL!!! —- Bernanke admits Obama’s recovery (and economy) is faltering… NO LOL… that’s disastrous!!! ————– Just RESIGN OBAMA… and let competent and honest people run this country!!

Is Romney responsible for all these Mormon.com ads that have been running on TV?

Romney might indeed have a “good shot” if Obama keeps making condescending comments like America is soft (from Obama yet), and tells his black base to quit complaining. Not to mention using taxpayer money for venture capital and pushing guns that backfire.
