Sorry folks, but the only reason Ron Paul isn't dead already is because the system is SO rigged the 'owners' know he won't be elected. Most aren't even aware of the whole process to get him nominated during the primaries. The electorate went to sleep after the 'owners' blew the Kennedy's and MLK away on National TV and we didn't march on DC and start hanging the bums. That's why you are seeing the OWS phenomenon. Not that they know what they're doing or even have a cohesive plan, they just know it's coming down to crunch time and those in power who have become drunk on the 'trillions' they've stolen will NEVER give this system up without a bloody fight. The only thing besides an outright revolution (which won't work out either since you've got to know 'what' your fighting for) would be 'millions' boycotting the international megacorps that have taken over this country. Doing what needs to be done (violently or non-violently) requires an education too many Americans are far too lazy to seek. We're done people. Unfortunate but true. More people followed the Michael Jackson / Conrad Murray fiasco freak show than can tell you who Ron Paul even is. Go find ex-CIA guy Robert Steele. That's where we're going, IF enough of us get a grip. Wanna change this country? Divest yourself from everything owned my a corporation (or sold by one) related to the military industrial complex. Once you realize how many 'trinkets' and necessities that involves, you'll see how hard that will be, and realize way too many are far too lazy to bother. The reality is, way too many people just don't give a sh*t enough about their own children to make the effort. Sorry. Pessimistic? Yes. True? Also yes. There is only one other option, we ALL (that know what the problems are) have to put our lives (the leisure side) on hold, ID ALL the players with this same common interest (local, regional, state, national and international) and push to support them so they have the courage to do the right thing. Otherwise, too many are already deferring to party politics and looking out for themselves and their pensions. Simply put, we will have to do THE HARD WORK, besides just commenting on some (obviously intellectually lazy) nitwits blog post.

A good start is Robert K. Steele and the many around him. Also, check Noreena Hertz and her book 'The Debt Bomb'. Another good education in how we got here and where it's going if we don't fix it.

@Jack - well you are a real laugher. Do you think ANY other candidate is going to do what Ron Paul is proposing? Democrat or Republican. Since a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for freedom, I would just as soon "waste" my vote on that then to throw it away on one of these other faux candidates. That way I at least know that I stood for what was right.

@Liberluvr - sorry I thought I was responding to cloud's post, but it was acually yours (a little hard to tell who the author is). My sentiments remain the same though.

@paul schroeder - Paul, I agree with your sentiment and think quoting an elderly person from an assisted living home as the "voice of the common person" (which the author was obvioulsy trying to do) is absurd, but I have to point out to you that Ron Paul is a US Congressman, not a Senator. He does have a long and admirable history in Congress serving his district and the American People (12 terms)

The guy who was the head of tracking down Osama in the CIA agrees with Ron Paul. Anybody with a sliver of intelligence knows he's right. Even Osama said it himself. The troop presence in Saudi Arabia fueled his hatred of the US, not that we have freedom and Starbux. C'mon people! And on top of that, YES pleeease remove the dept of Education because people in this country are stooopid.

"Y’kniow, the last President who was naive enough to think that any kind of isolationist policy was viable was Woodrow Wilson. Somehow we still got sucked into WW1 at the time, and later on WWII. "

Wilson was not an isolationist. He was the first leftwing globalist, who sucked us into WWI, gave us the 16th and 17th Amendments, and the Federal Reserve, not to mention the League of Nations.

Study your history. If you equate globalism to isolationism or non-interventionism (which are NOT the same, either!), then you truly are as ignorant as that NH voter.

If it were all affordable what the US is doing in foreign countries, I wouldn't mind it as much. However, what we're doing is simply unsustainable. Did you know that federal, state, and local governments are collectively spending 40 percent of our USA's GDP!! And it doesn't look like they're planning for any meaningful retraction of that. That percentage is truly staggering.

The grammar errors alone in this "article" make it irrelevant.

Why is no one bombing and terrorizing places like Switzerland or Brazil? Maybe it's because they don't have 700 military bases in 130 countries. I'd bet bet my left n_t that if Switzerland started fighting illegal wars all over the freaking globe, they might have a "terrorism" problem too, but they don't!

END THE WARS.
END THE FED.
END THE MADNESS
VOTE FOR PEACE - RON PAUL 2012 - PAUL OR NOTHIN ! ! !
