One question: Why is $12,188 per hour quoted as the price to operate the airplane if, in fact, it does not cost $12,188 per hour? In the real world, airplanes in a fleet – including the one Mrs. Obama and her daughters flew on – have to be maintained. And real dollars have to be spent. Okay, so the crew and fuel didn’t cost $12,188 per hour. But that’s the price to operate the airplane! This is the Obama WH’s version of, “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”

I have a friend who has to travel to conferences for work. She takes her husband and kids with her. They do fun stuff while she attends the conference. See, it doesn’t cost more money to run the vehicle with more people in it and a hotel room for one isn’t much cheaper than one for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Taking the kids and Grandmother didn’t make the trip cost any more. Would you prefer the Obamas schedule separate outings that did not coincide with official business so that the transportation and extra Secret Service cost are ONLY because someone wanted a vacation – or do you think this method is better – where vacations piggyback onto official visits?

The question is did the children and grandmother travel as part of official business? If not, I believe they are to pay the cost of a round-trip full-fare economy ticket, food, lodging, and other expenses. Doesn’t matter if they are family or not.

When comparing all three, most Americans are conservative. It’s inaccurate to combine independents and liberals, as none of the polls do. According to the latest ‘US Political Ideology’ poll by Gallup:

Conservatives – 40%
Independents – 35%
Liberals – 20%

Vote my way or the highway uh kimberly (personal digs at conservatives or tea party)…Don’t you get it….That’s the problem today…My Way or The Highway….The smart vote says RESEARCH YOUR CANDIDATE whatever the party may be…RESEARCH THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS…RESEARCH THEIR MISTAKES……RESEARCH THEIR PLANS AND PROBABILITY FOR SUCCESS…The President is your employee and not the other way around….VOTE FOR THE PERSON, NOT THE BACKERS (that is a separate election.) I chose to fire the current manager for ineffective job performance……Jason you should let ANY party “have it” for out of control personal spending on the taxpayers dime…Don’t care if your Repub or Dem or Indep….Goes for corporations as well…CUT THE LOOPHOLES for corporations…unions…government….

Not only her daughters went on the trip but also mommie dearest and nephews and nieces. I guess it was a trip to find their “roots”.

And, you would be a lot more creditable if you stopped swiping that old race card …. it’s getting very worn out. The outrage is that nieces, nephews, mother, etc. were included in this so-called “official” trip which does make one wonder just how any White House can justify that. They could have flown over “commercial” to take this family vacation together…no big deal. It’s when they use OUR taxpayers dollars for these exotic, luxurious trips that people get upset.
