Man I read this article found on the net by searching for all this supposed “baggage” that Newt has. This article like everything else I have found can do nothing more than list a bunch of nothing. I remember Newts historical success which was more than Washington could handle. His desire to be transparent and accountable with his Contract w America was too much for the typical sneaky washington politicians on both sides. He stepped on toes and hurt the feelings of so many who remain jealous and resentful. He told press members wherer to go too and they pay him back today even with headlines like the one in this article. This aint baggage, this is evidence of getting things done. This time with a FOX News around, no compromising by Newt will needed. Trust me. As far as character, huh, dont even think he is anywhere near as low as Pelosi for example. Plus he has matured. I will continue to search for some real baggage on Newt Gingrich. I am afraid it does not really exist. All I can personally recall was how rediculously unfair he was treated by the press and how he would once in a while after attack and attack he would react. I also remember loving it when he would do so. Remember there was no FOX fairness around back then. I was sad when he decideed HIMSELF to resign. More like History not BAGGAGE. I am a fundamental born again Christian too.

If they did not one republican serving in Congress would get reelected after their blatant disdain for the working class.

Newt is the biggest hypocrite. Impeaching the POTUS for oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, while he himself, is having an affair with a woman young enough to be his daughter and cheating on a sick wife to boot. Newt seems to believe that marrying this woman makes it ok. Calista Gingrich is not worthy of being FLOTUS. She is a sleazy golddigger. Newt is all about making money hand of fist so that he can make a fool of himself with much younger women. That complied with his 84 ethics violations make him someone who is not worthy, in my humble opinion of being the leader of the free world.

If Newt is such an historian why hasn’t he read about how we got out of the great depression? Lots of government spending, that’s how. It doesn’t matter if it was for FDRs jobs programs or arming for WWII. As I said he speculates and doesn’t understand the lesson.

Simple answer: NO. Because the “new Newt” is the same old Newt he’s always been. Corrupt, ethically-challenged, immoral, egotistical, arrogant, and opportunistic. No news here. He’s just doing and saying what he thinks he needs to in order to get elected. And for anyone willing to pay the going price.

I really don’t care about what Gingrich has done in his personal life; the guy is a phony anyway. He claims to be an historian but has very little understanding of the history he reads. His books are more science fiction than history. He speculates on what might have happened if certain events never happened, example, what if the Japanese had won WWII. Sorry Newt, they didn’t, so any thing you write is pure fantasy.

Eighty-four ethics charges were filed against Speaker Gingrich during his term, including claiming tax-exempt status for a college course run for political purposes. Following an investigation by the House Ethics Committee Gingrich was sanctioned. Gingrich acknowledged in January 1997 that “In my name and over my signature, inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements were given to the committee”. The House Ethics Committee concluded that inaccurate information supplied to investigators represented “intentional or … reckless” disregard of House rules. The special Counsel concluded that Gingrich violated federal tax law and had lied to the ethics panel in an effort to force the committee to dismiss the complaint against him. He has always been about the money.
