At first Gingrich claimed to be just a “historian”, but now admits to earning $2 million from Freddie Mac for “strategic advice”. Newt Gingrich also founded a health care focused “think tank” back in 2003 – it brought in $37 million. (Promotional materials claimed Big Insurance and Health Care companies could pay to have “access to Newt Gingrich” and “direct Newt interaction”.) So what did his “think tank” recommend? Legislation requiring “anyone who earns more than $50,000 a year must purchase health insurance.” Now Gingrich says he is “completely opposed to the Obamacare mandate on individuals”. Do voters have any idea what this man stands for, other than lining his own pockets? As my husband likes to say about politics, "Where there's confusion, there's profits". “shifting positions”?

Just about everything that shed any bad light on your messiah was never immediately jumped-on by the mainstream media, we all know that. Posted by: Gunner_1959 | November 18, 2011, 9:49 am. Oh boo frikkin hoo. Gunner, just SAYING something is true doesn't actually MAKE IT true unless you can back it up with actual, verifiable facts. YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS! All you do is parrot the Rush and FOX talking points day after day. Obama isn't my "messiah", he isn't a god, he isn't my hero. He IS my president. And I'm getting sick and damn tired of people like YOU constantly slamming everything about him without any actual facts or proof to back it up. It's disgusting. Posted by: Mike | November 18, 2011, 9:17 am. You mean like being a lobbyist for Freddie Mac? Since he resigned the House in disgrace in '98 he hasn't done anything in the public sector except be a perpetual candidate, raking in literally millions of dollars. Running for office has been very lucrative for good ol' Newt.......... (Some people have to be hit in the face with proof.) So, he plays the party game, while not believing in the party platform. Frankly, I don't blame him. Some of the GOP platform is clearly stupid, clearly oppressive, in terms of human rights, and clearly allows religion into the equation. However, in order to get fiscal responsibility, we are forced to take the bad with the good. We darn sure aren't going to get any fiscal responsibility from the Democratic welfare Party. President Clinton shut the government down twice, until Newt's House got the pork out of the budget. The real reason we had a surplus was because George Bush Sr. raised taxes on the wealthy (which he got blasted for) and we had a booming economy (people were working) that generated more revenues than outlays. Something the republicans still need to learn today. MIKE

This country needs that again, in a big way. Newt's best position is not president, there are more effective positions for him to better serve this nation and return fiscal responsibility to it. Even Jack Abramoff called Newt one of the most corrupt politicians in Washington. You can't claim to be against corruption and then put one of the best at it in office!! And, Abramoff should know.Vote for who you want, but prepared to be screwed, LOL! Newt couldn't care less about any of you. It would be hilarious if the Teapartiers and GOP made Newt their candidate.
