New Kennedy Assassination Tapes Revealed

ABC News’ Jack Cloherty reports:

Nearly 48 years after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, fresh audio evidence from that fateful day has surfaced.  The evidence comes in the form of the original reel-to-reel Air Force One radio recording, containing conversations between officials on the plane, the White House situation room, and others.  The original tape was long thought to be lost or destroyed.

The tape contains never-before-heard conversations between the presidential aircraft and the White House and immediately after the assassination of President Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963.

It was held privately for years by President Kennedy’s military aide at the time, Chester Clifton.  Clifton was in the Dallas motorcade when Kennedy was shot and killed, and on Air Force One and involved in the radio discussions.  The tape was obtained by the Raab Collection of Philadelphia.

According to Nathan Raab, the Vice President of the collection, the tape is the raw, unedited version of the edited audio tape from Air Force One that is in the National Archive.  The Raab Collection says the raw tape “is about 30 minutes longer than the edited version, predates it by years, and contains incidents and code names never before heard by the American public.”

“That this tape even exists will change the way we view this great event in history,” said Raab. “It took decades to analyze the shorter, newer version and it will take years to do the same here. This provides a concise ‘tale of the tapes’ and offers great insight into ongoing research.”

The tape contains a dramatic first-hand report of the President’s assassination, and the wounding of then-Texas Governor John Connolly.  The recordings may fill in some important blanks for the assassination historians and conspiracy theorists – for example, the tapes locate Gen. Curtis LeMay at the time of the assassination.   LeMay, a member of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, was a vocal critic of JFK and there has been speculation over the years that he may have had a role in the assassination.  The tapes also placed various other officials, allowing the public to learn where they were, at what time, and what they were saying.

Listen here.

Much of the recording involves logistical planning – whether to take the President’s body for autopsy to Walter Reed or Bethesda Naval Hospital; plans for where Mrs. Kennedy should be taken, and how many limousines should meet the plane when it touched down.

“As Americans have looked to the history of the Kennedy assassination in search of answers, somewhere in an attic there existed a tape, made years before the only known surviving version, of the conversations on Air Force One on that fateful day,” Nathan Raab, said.   ”This longer, more complete tape is a crucial discovery, and a landmark piece of American history.”

Raab said the collection is offering the original, reel-to-reel tape for sale at $500,000.  A digital file will be provided at no cost to the National Archives and John F. Kennedy Library.

” ..there has been speculation over the years that he [General LeMay] may have had a role in the assassination.” What a loathsome insinuation, Mr. Cloherty. If you insisted on including this statement in your piece, you should have prefaced it by stating there is zero evidence of a conspiracy in the assassination after 47 years of scrutiny. Giving an oblique nod to speculative fantasy of this kind is reprehensible – underhanded slander against Curtis LeMay’s memory, utterly baseless. Oliver Stone must be proud.

I do not know what this tape will reveal; however, there is a lot of evidence that points to a conspiracy. The mysterious deaths of many who knew something about this event, along with WHEN they occurred, should be enought to cause any thinking person to pause and question the official version of events.

“zero evidence of conspiracy after 47 years of scrutiny”??? Why are Americans so stupid. So I’m supposed to believe a bullet suspended itself in mid-air for nearly 2 seconds, that a bullet could cause 7 wounds to 2 bodies with no visible damage (clearly rebutted by the Army after 100 tests), that the head could go back and to the left struck by a projectile coming from the rear right. That the top acoustic physicists on earth must all be wrong. Do I need to go on? This Paul Carpenter dude is going to talk about “loathsome insinuations”?? What about blatant stupidity?

Whoever was on that tape was reading a pre written statement. It was not a conversation. you can hear it in his voice inflection.

Conspiracy followers aren’t just dupes. They require something to explain their personal failures. A story of powerful evil conspirators running things behind the scenes serves quite well. Illuminati, the Kennedys, fake Moon landings, shapeshifting aliens, Govt hiding UFO’s, Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, and Elvis at Walgreens. These all stem from people who feel powerless and need excuses. And as we know, those who need excuses will find them in abundance.

blah blah blah, it was a murder scene. The body should of stayed right where it happened. The federal government was key in pulling this off.

Conspiracy followers aren’t dupes. They require something to explain the crimes of their own Government. Everyone knows LeMay was a narcissistic nut capable of nuking Havana and really believing the Russians would “do nothing”. He wanted to knock out the Russians while we had the advantage. The truth of powerful evil conspirators running things behind the scenesl. Illuminati, the Kennedys, fake Moon landings, shapeshifting aliens, , Vast Right Wing Conspiracies, like the election of Bush Jr,, and CIA-created soulless idiots like Obama (ya gotta love that Vermont SSN!!! These all stem from people who are not going to take much more from the shadow “government”.We just need an excuse. Obvious DHS trolls like Agent Levine show the desperation of the CIA-backed juntas that have controlled this nation since Kennedy tried to reverse its course. He was killed for it. That is not a theory. It is a fact.

I was born in 1965 so president kennedy had already been murdered. just on the surface I think that there could be more then one shooter invovled on that day. now, i don’t beleive we will every know the truth about that day. But, i do believe that in 1963 it would have been possible to carry out a conspiracy to kill a president

Google “George DeMohrenschildt”…. Google “Operation WUBRINY/DICTURN”….. Google “Zapata Oil”…. Google “Operation 40″….. Google “E Howard Hunt”…. Just keep googling. If you rely on these “journalists” to tell you the truth, you’ll be waiting for centuries.

I look forward to hearing more of this. I’m sure it won’t convince those who think there was a conspiracy that required knowing the future and organizing thousands of people to perform parts perfectly, down to the split second, but it should be interesting (as well as sad.) I was nine at the time and remember it very vividly. My father was in the Marine Corps and the first thing I thought was that he would have to go to war. I have studied the assassination in quite a bit of detail and wish others would do that same. There is enough verifiable evidence to show what happened. People who have seen that horrible fictitious film called “JFK” should try to forget about it and honestly study the facts. Very little of what is claimed in that film is true. Oliver Stone knew it, but his business is making money selling films, and he basically didn’t give a darn how much BS was in it.
