Rick Perry Super PAC Ups Ad Buy in South Carolina

As Rick Perry pours nearly $1 million into a national ad campaign, the pro-Perry super PAC “Make Us Great Again” is increasing its ad buy in South Carolina beginning Sunday, when it will launch a week-long television and radio advertising run worth approximately $275,000.

A source with Make Us Great Again told ABC News the ad buy of more than $250,000 will begin Nov. 14 and run through Nov. 23 in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

About $29,000 of that total will be placed in radio ads, the first funded by the super PAC. Those ads will run in Augusta, Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Greenville-Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and other non-metro parts of South Carolina.

Make Us Great Again started running pro-Perry ads in South Carolina and Iowa last week. The previous ad buy in the Palmetto State was for $180,000 and aired only in the Columbia and Greenville-Spartanburg markets.

The upcoming ad, which is called “Leadership,” is the same as the one aired by the super-PAC last week.

“One million new jobs. Rick Perry. Conservative leadership that works,” a voice-over in the ad reads.
