Santorum is a total ignoramus. There is no justification for evening thinking about bombing Iran. Iran has no nukes and is not building any according to the US 2011 and the main reports of the IAEA. The Annex of the latest IAEA report contained a bunch of lies and speculative nonsense that no knowledgeable person takes seriously. In the meantime, Israel has over 200 nukes and the US has over 5,000. And, we are worried about Iran?

There are missile launch detection systems all over the world. Iran would have ONE shot at Israel and then Iran would be turned into a sea of glass. To think the Iranian people would want this for their future is a bit difficult to comprehend.

Do you have any idea what would happen to this country if a nuclear weapon was detonated in a major city? They knocked down two buildings in New York City and it cost this country a trillion dollars. It would bring this nation to it’s knees. In Iran they routinely throw suspected homosexuals off the roofs of buildings. They have already threatened to turn Israel into a radioactive wasteland. As before, the Israelis should carry out the strike but if they fail, Santorum is correct. Like it or not, we need to protect ourselves.

Just read another article this morning that said Romney is also calling for war with Iran. As far as I’m concerned both Romney and Santorum are warmongers. Neither will get my vote. Obama is out too. He took us to war with Libya without Congressional consent. He turned to the UN instead of our elected representatives! I hope people in this country wake up fast…

That is so “yesterday”, in terms of a feasible solution.

Any such effort, would have to be literally massive…….a complete obliteration of the entire country, in a single strike. That isn’t really feasible, without using the weapons we don’t want to use.

Face it. We have to prepare to wipe out an entire country, but to do so, would be so horrific a move, that we would have to wait for them to take the first action, and that means massive destruction, against us, to start with.

When and if Iran develops nuclear weapons, and they will, then WW 3 is simply a given.

Santorum is a war mongering idiot. A war with Iran is just whwt we need now. The Republican Party is still controlled by the same Jewish neo-cons (Kristol, Feith, Perle, Wolfiwitz, Abrams) that helped fabricate info on Iraqs WMD’s and Iraqs links to Al-Quadia in our last pre-emptive war. Israel’s government has been taken over by religious fanatics that more than match the ayatollahs and I fear Israel’s nucleur arms as much as the possibility of Iran getting them since Israel’s religious fanatics have an expansionist, messianic goal of a greater Israel. Nearly 100 members of Congress went to Israel since this summer (mainly Republicans) on week long all expenses paid junkets funded by AIPAC where they pledged their allegiance to Israel. There is no way that I will vote for a Republican in the next election since they wil,l get us into another war. Iran is no “paper tiger” like we claimed Iraq and Afganistan were and how did those wars turn out. When Iran closes the Gulf of Hormuz oil prices will skyrocket to double our present gas prices and send our economy and Europes into a tailspin. This time it wiil tear the country apart since I guarantee there will be demonstrations against it. You might not be aware of the religious fanaticism in Israel so go to google or youtube and type-in “israeli settlers” to meet the neighbors from hell that control the Israeli government. They are 500,000 strong, heavily armed, and view non-Jews as sub-human. Their allegiance is more to their fanatical Rabbis than to the government that supports them. Cut off all aid to Israel and make it clear to them that if they attack Iran they are on their own. Also vote yes to Palestinian statehood.

That a candidate for the office of President of the United States, Rick Santorum, would allow
Israel’s concerns to be elevated above those of the people of the United States is mind boggling.
Let’s get this right. Israel is located in a small strip of land on the eastern Mediterranean. The land was forcefully taken by European (and other) Jews after Germany was defeated in W W 2. It may be said that the Zionists were educated, wealthy, organized, and intent on regaining land lost 2-3 thousand years ago. There was only one problem, Palestinians lived on the land the Zionists coveted. Palestinians were uneducated, poor, unorganized, but desirous of keeping their homes and land which they had been living on for thousands of years. The Zionists won the war and the Palestinians had to leave. Now things have changed, the Palestinians and their neighbors are educated, organized, much richer and they wish to have their land back.

Now Israel is confronted by neighbors, allies, of the displaced Palestinians. Iran is one of them. We are told by Santorum that an offensive war by Israel, on Iran, potentially causing a long and protracted land war in the Middle East, with possible nuclear consequences, is acceptable policy for Americans. The US is, by treaty, obligated to defend Israel EVEN IF ISRAEL INITIATES WAR ON ANY COUNTRY.

Rick Santorum, listen to me, and most other world citizens.

NO WAR NO MORE !

There shall be no more blood or treasure wasted by Americans in the Middle East even for defense of Israel. Israel should seek to pull up stakes and move to a less hostile environment. It can be done.

The worlds resources should be dedicated to achieve that relocation, and not war.

And the irony and callousness of Santorum’s statement lay in that Iraq was keeping Iran in check.
