House Members Sport Yellow Ribbons

Led by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, most members of Congress today are wearing yellow ribbons as a way of welcoming home the troops from Iraq.

Lee was on the House floor this morning with a bowlful of  yellow ribbons. Almost every Congress member who has spoken to the House today has donned a yellow ribbon.

Lee started the yell0w-ribbon craze  in her home district of Houston. ""By displaying yellow ribbons throughout our communities and having every school marquee display signage  titled "Welcome Home Troops - A Job Well Done," Lee said, "this campaign will symbolize our respect and appreciation of all our troops."
