In Iowa, Perry Lambasts Ron Paul on Iran, Gingrich For Ties to Freddie Mac

From Arlette Saenz and Shushannah Walshe:

CHEROKEE, Iowa – Squeezed into the back corner of a packed coffee house here, Texas Gov. Rick Perry did not hold back on criticizing some of his Republican opponents, starting with Rep. Ron Paul for his comments on Iran in Thursday night’s debate.

“The idea that there is one individual that was on the stage last night who thinks what’s going on in Iran and allowing Iran to have access to a nuclear device–to have a bomb is really not any of our business,” Perry said. ”Dr. Paul is just wrong on this issue.

“You can’t make nice with the mullahs. They hate us, they hate everything about America. They hate our lifestyle, they hate our faith. They dislike us to the point that they would use a nuclear device first to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and they consider Israel to be the little Satan, they consider us to be the big Satan.”

“This truly makes me nervous when I hear that type of rhetoric out of Dr. Paul. I greatly respect him,” Perry continued. “We cannot have a president of the United States that basically is so hands-off to a country like Iran that they say, ‘It’s not our business, we’re not going to get involved.’ It is our business.”

In a media availability after his event, Perry was asked whether Newt Gingrich’s work for Freddie Mac should disqualify him from the presidency after the SEC charged three Freddie Mac and three Fannie Mae executives with securities fraud.

“I think it’s a question that was brought up last night and very strongly so and the idea that somehow or another ‘I’m a consultant, I wasn’t a lobbyist.’ For most of us, that is a very weak excuse at best,” Perry said. “People are sick and tired of being ripped up by congressmen and senators who are in cahoots with Wall Street financiers, and that’s basically what we have here. ‘Fraudulent’ and ‘criminal’ are two words that I hope we hear often as we clean this mess up and people understand that Americans are not going to allow their public servants to rip them off anymore.”

Perry commented on the charges made against the executives saying, “I happen to think … that this is fraudulent and criminal activity, so I hope that what we see is not only this administration but also Congress to take seriously how to put into place oversight that actually works, and that whether it’s the SEC [or] any other investigative body, they go in and they ferret it out, and they get to the bottom of why Americans are having to pay for these huge amounts of bonuses, this bailing out of Wall Street firms.”

On South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s endorsement of Mitt Romney on Friday, Perry extended his respect for Haley and said, “She made her choice, and we’ll see who was right.”

But Perry did make one lighthearted distinction between himself and his Republican opponents. “I’m pretty sure I’m the only person on that stage last night who’s herded cattle.”

We have to go to war to support Haliburton and the carlisle group. Besides our dollar still has way too much value.

The American people are sick (and tired) of bailing out Wall Street and propping up dictators and bombing everyone overseas. Let’s focus on rebuilding this country: new infrastructure, a new energy economy, jobs for Americans, new manufacturing, expanding education opportunities.

Why in the world are we still trying to be the world’s policeman???

They hate our faith? Is that why Iran’s constitution specifically states that Jews and Christians have the freedom to practice their religion in Iran? Are these candidate totally insane?

Voices of anti-war Republicans have been drowned out by war mongers inside the party. Its time for the voices of anti-war Republicans to speak out against this nonsense out-of-control foreign spending, and its OK to speak out, let our Patriotic voices be heard!

Consider our current foreign policy in the context of your local neighborhood:

You would get to: set up cameras to keep tabs your neighbors, siphon your neighbors gasoline, run your waterhose through the neighbors house so you can wash your can in their neighbor’s driveway, intercept your neighbor’s paychecks when they don’t agree with you, listen to their phone calls, let your kids exercise in your neighbors pool, and then you would expect to be well-liked!

GIVE ME A BREAK! Ron Paul’s views on foreign policy are nothing new. Romney is an establishment based, rich man’s friend, talking head. Yet another debate where Paul clearly comes out on top and gets completely ignored by main stream media. People are waking up to this BLATENT propaganda.

Here we go again, war drums are beating this time focused on Iran. You’d think we’ve learned our lesson with Iraq, but Nooooooooooo. Remember the so called “strong intelligence” by the CIA and presented by Gen. Powell to the UN that Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction”? US invaded Iraq for this and after 250,000 deaths and trillions of US$ spent, there were no WMDs found! So much for “Strong Intelligence” LOL.

This may sound kind of strange, but I have a feeling Perry is not the enemy that I have made him out to be.Do not get me wrong,I am a Ron Paul 2012 man.I think he is a very confused man. These subjects that Ron Paul simplifies,he tries to emulate, with less static results.Although not a threat, but a distraction,I think that Perry means well,in a damaging way.

Ron Paul is absolutely right about Iran. If you were President of Iran, wouldn’t you want a nuclear weapon, given the aggressive attitude of US politicians? Pakistan and China have nuclear weapons, North Korea may have nuclear weapons, why the hysteria over Iran? You’d think that after Vietnam and Iraq II, US politicians would finally learn their lesson.

On the O’reilly Factor yesterday, O’reilly played a clip where Ron Paul was talking about Iran. Bill O’reilly brought up the Mossad and said that he trusted them.

Enter the following:

Former Mossad Chief: Iran far from achieving nuclear bomb

Haaretz

The IAEA recently reported that Iran had went from 3.5% enrichment to 20% enrichment. Took them 3 or more years. Weapons grade enrichment, though, is 90%.

Rick Perry is so fake. He’s a carbon copy of Bush, fake, phony, lying liar. Ron Paul loves his country and everyone in it. He knows how disgusting war is. War is the worst thing the human species can involve itself in. It destroys lives for decades. It tears the flesh of children from their bones. It destroys families. It destroys the minds of the soldiers doing these things. Wonder why we’ve had more soldiers commit suicide than die in combat for two years in a row? Probably from the nauseating reality that they are monsters. Ron Paul receives more donations from active duty military than all the candidates combined. When the MSM attacks Ron Paul’s foreign policy, they’re attacking the opinions of the men and women actually fighting the wars they cheer for.
