Rick Santorum is a social conservative, but he’s not fiscally conservative. His record just hasn’t been vetted before since he was barely an asterisk. Now that he’s getting a second look, he’s going to have to handle the scrutiny. Up to now he’s been able to control his own narrative.

Rick Perry is always going after his opponents because he doesn’t have merit to run on..he is slimy and dishonest. Can you imagine him debating with Obama? There will be a bunch of Oops! and I doubt he can take he heat of what Obama team will give him because he couldn’t even handle a debate. Rick Santorum on the other hand knows who he is, what he believes in and is realistic. Go Santorum 2012.

In other words, Ron Paul is an intellectually dishonest and disingenuous politician. Thinking he has skirted the fine line between principle and pragmatism. And failing to do so, as they all do. He added pork projects to bills. His supporters give him a pass on this because he claims he never voted for those bills. But so what? He added pork projects to bills. Bills that got passed. Bills that paid for the pork his district benefited from. So he is no different than every other federal politician when it comes to sending the pork home to their own district or state. I guess his supporters are too dumb to see that. If his supporters are truly against all pork barrel spending, then they cannot in good faith support Paul’s addition of pork projects to bills. Period.

Ron Paul never voted for the bills with earmarks in them, he just made sure if OTHERS passed it, part of what was already going to be spent would benefit his district. He never added money and clearly never sold his vote, which was always ‘no’. He also voted against every unbalanced budget. And against every raise of the debt ceiling.

Santorum is different. He voted for No Child Left behind and to raise the debt ceiling 5 times, as just two points.
